For the fortifiedcityis isolated,A homesteadforlornand forsakenlike the desert;Therethe calfwill graze,And thereit will liedownand feedon its branches.
Behold,the nameof the LORDcomesfrom a remoteplace;Burningis His angerand denseis [His] smoke;His lipsare filledwith indignationAnd His tongueis like a consumingfire;

Yet the peopledo not turnbackto Him who struckthem, Nordo they seekthe LORDof hosts.

He has toldyou, O man,whatis good;And whatdoes the LORDrequireof you But to dojustice,to lovekindness,And to walkhumblywith your God?
She heedednovoice,She acceptednoinstruction.She did not trustin the LORD,She did not drawnearto her God.
