Then the sonsof Israelagaindidevilin the sightof the LORD,servedthe Baalsand the Ashtaroth,the godsof Aram,the godsof Sidon,the godsof Moab,the godsof the sonsof Ammon,and the godsof the Philistines;thus they forsookthe LORDand did not serveHim.
becausethey have forsakenMe, and have worshipedAshtoreththe goddessof the Sidonians,Chemoshthe godof Moab,and Milcomthe godof the sonsof Ammon;and they have not walkedin My ways,doingwhatis rightin My sightand [observing] My statutesand My ordinances,as his fatherDavid[did].
For SolomonwentafterAshtoreththe goddessof the Sidoniansand afterMilcomthe detestableidolof the Ammonites.
ThenSolomonbuilta highplacefor Chemoshthe detestableidolof Moab,on the mountainwhichis eastof Jerusalem,and for Molechthe detestableidolof the sonsof Ammon.
It cameabout, as though it had been a trivialthingfor him to walkin the sinsof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,that he marriedJezebelthe daughterof Ethbaalkingof the Sidonians,and wentto serveBaaland worshipedhim.
They forsookallthe commandmentsof the LORDtheir Godand madefor themselves moltenimages,[even] twocalves,and madean Asherahand worshipedallthe hostof heavenand servedBaal.
The highplaceswhich[were] beforeJerusalem,which[were] on the rightof the mountof destructionwhichSolomonthe kingof Israelhad builtfor Ashtoreththe abominationof the Sidonians,and for Chemoshthe abominationof Moab,and for Milcomthe abominationof the sonsof Ammon,the kingdefiled.
For he sacrificedto the godsof Damascuswhich had defeatedhim, and said,"Becausethe godsof the kingsof Aramhelpedthem, I will sacrificeto them that they may helpme." But they becamethe downfallof him and allIsrael.
And servedtheir idols,Which becamea snareto them.
Be ashamed,O Sidon;For the seaspeaks,the strongholdof the sea,saying,"I have neithertravailednorgivenbirth,I have neitherbroughtup youngmen[nor] rearedvirgins."

They camein and tookpossessionof it, but they did not obeyYour voiceor walkin Your law;they have donenothingof allthat You commandedthem to do;therefore You have made allthiscalamitycomeupon them.
"Aramwas your customerbecauseof the abundanceof your goods;they paidfor your wareswith emeralds,purple,embroideredwork,finelinen,coraland rubies.
"Ifyour brother,your mother'sson,oryour sonordaughter,orthe wifeyou cherish,oryour friendwhois as your own soul,enticeyou secretly,saying,Let us goand serveothergods(whomneitheryou noryour fathershave known,
you shall not yieldto him or listento him; and your eyeshall not pityhim, norshall you spareor concealhim.
The LORDsaidto Moses,"Behold,you are about to liedownwith your fathers;and thispeoplewill ariseand playthe harlotwith the strangegodsof the land,into the midstof whichthey are going,and will forsakeMe and breakMy covenantwhichI have madewith them.
"Then My angerwill be kindledagainst them in that day,and I will forsakethem and hideMy facefrom them, and they will be consumed,and manyevilsand troubleswill comeupon them; so that they will sayin that day,Is it not becauseour Godis not amongus that theseevilshave comeupon us?'
"But Jeshurungrewfatand kicked--You are grownfat,thick,and sleek--Then he forsookGodwho madehim, And scornedthe Rockof his salvation.
also halfof Gilead,with Ashtarothand Edrei,the citiesof the kingdomof Ogin Bashan,[were] for the sonsof Machirthe sonof Manasseh,for halfof the sonsof Machiraccording to their families.
And Jairdiedand was buriedin Kamon.
Do you not possesswhatChemoshyour godgivesyou to possess?So whateverthe LORDour Godhas drivenout beforeus, we will possessit.
Now the sonsof Israelagaindidevilin the sightof the LORD,so that the LORDgavethem into the handsof the Philistinesfortyyears.
Now the lordsof the Philistinesassembledto offera greatsacrificeto Dagontheir god,and to rejoice,for they said,"Our godhas givenSamsonour enemyinto our hands."
The sonsof Israeldidwhatwas evilin the sightof the LORD,and forgotthe LORDtheir Godand servedthe Baalsand the Asheroth.
Then the sonsof Israelagaindidevilin the sightof the LORD,after Ehuddied.
Then the sonsof Israeldidwhatwas evilin the sightof the LORD;and the LORDgavethem into the handsof Midiansevenyears.
Then it cameabout, as soonas Gideonwas dead,that the sonsof Israelagainplayedthe harlotwith the Baals,and madeBaal-beriththeir god.
Then the Philistinestookthe arkof Godand broughtit to the houseof Dagonand setit by Dagon.
