So manliesdownand does not rise.Untilthe heavensare nolonger,He will not awakenorbe arousedout of his sleep.
"For nowI would have laindownand beenquiet;I would have sleptthen,I would have beenat rest,
"For I knowthat You will bringme to deathAnd to the houseof meetingfor allliving.
"Whythen do You not pardonmy transgressionAnd takeawaymy iniquity?For nowI will liedownin the dust;And You will seekme, but I will not be."
"When a cloudvanishes,it is gone,Sohe who goesdownto Sheoldoes not comeup.
"Even they will perish,but You endure;And allof them will wearout like a garment;Like clothingYou will changethem and they will be changed.
You have sweptthem awaylikea flood,they fallasleep;In the morningthey are like grasswhich sproutsanew.
Indeed,ifa manshould livemanyyears,let him rejoicein them all,and let him rememberthe daysof darkness,for they will be many.Everythingthat is to come[will be] futility.
Furthermore,men are afraidof a highplace and of terrorson the road;the almondtreeblossoms,the grasshopperdragshimself along, and the caperberryis ineffective.For mangoesto his eternalhomewhile mournersgoaboutin the street.
Your deadwill live;Their corpseswill rise.You who liein the dust,awakeand shoutfor joy,For your dew[is as] the dewof the dawn,And the earthwill givebirthto the departedspirits.
"Liftup your eyesto the sky,Then lookto the earthbeneath;For the skywill vanishlike smoke,And the earthwill wearout like a garmentAnd its inhabitantswill diein likemanner;But My salvationwill be forever,And My righteousnesswill not wane.
"For behold,I createnewheavensand a newearth;And the formerthingswill not be rememberedor cometo mind.
"For justas the newheavensand the newearthWhichI makewill endurebeforeMe," declaresthe LORD,"Soyour offspringand your namewill endure.
"Manyof those whosleepin the dustof the groundwill awake,theseto everlastinglife,but the othersto disgrace[and] everlastingcontempt.
"Heavenand earthwill passaway,but My wordswill not pass away.
whomheavenmustreceiveuntil[the] periodof restorationof all thingsabout whichGodspokeby the mouthof His holyprophetsfrom ancient time.
For the creationwas subjectedto futility,not willingly,but becauseof Him who subjectedit, in hope
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
But by His wordthe presentheavensand earthare being reservedfor fire,keptfor the dayof judgmentand destructionof ungodlymen.
ThenI sawa greatwhitethroneand Him who satupon it, from whosepresenceearthand heavenfled away,and noplacewas foundfor them.
ThenI sawa newheavenand a newearth;for the firstheavenand the firstearthpassed away,and there is nolonger[any] sea.
