And I will takeaway the remnantof Judahwhohave settheir mindon enteringthe landof Egyptto residethere,and they will allmeettheir endin the landof Egypt;they will fallby the sword[and] meettheir endby famine.Bothsmalland greatwill dieby the swordand famine;and they will becomea curse,an objectof horror,an imprecationand a reproach.
But transgressorsand sinnerswill be crushedtogether,And those who forsakethe LORDwill cometo an end.
"You will leaveyour namefor a curseto My chosenones,And the LordGODwill slayyou. But My servantswill be calledby anothername.
"They will dieof deadlydiseases,they will not be lamentedor buried;they will be as dungon the surfaceof the groundand cometo an endby swordand famine,and their carcasseswill becomefoodfor the birdsof the skyand for the beastsof the earth."
To maketheir landa desolation,[An object of] perpetualhissing;Everyonewho passesby it will be astonishedAnd shakehis head.
I will makethem a terror[and an] evilfor allthe kingdomsof the earth,as a reproachand a proverb,a tauntand a cursein allplaceswhereI will scatterthem.
then I will makethishouselike Shiloh,and thiscityI will makea curseto allthe nationsof the earth."'"
I will pursuethem with the sword,with famineand with pestilence;and I will makethem a terrorto allthe kingdomsof the earth,to be a curseand a horrorand a hissing,and a reproachamong allthe nationswhereI have driventhem,
Becauseof them a cursewill be usedby allthe exilesfrom Judahwhoare in Babylon,saying,"May the LORDmakeyou like Zedekiahand like Ahab,whomthe kingof Babylonroastedin the fire,
Then allthe commandersof the forces,Johananthe sonof Kareah,Jezaniahthe sonof Hoshaiah,and allthe peoplebothsmalland greatapproached
Therefore you should nowclearlyunderstandthat you will dieby the sword,by famineand by pestilence,in the placewhereyou wishto goto reside.
"He will also comeand strikethe landof Egypt;those whoare [meant] for death[will be given over] to death,and those for captivityto captivity,and those for the swordto the sword.
"So the LORDwas nolongerableto endure[it], becauseof the evilof your deeds,becauseof the abominationswhichyou have committed;thus your landhas becomea ruin,an objectof horrorand a curse,withoutan inhabitant,as [it is] thisday.
My peopleare destroyedfor lackof knowledge.Becauseyou have rejectedknowledge,I also will rejectyou from being My priest.Since you have forgottenthe lawof your God,I alsowill forgetyour children.
For behold,they will gobecauseof destruction;Egyptwill gatherthem up, Memphiswill burythem. Weedswill takeovertheir treasuresof silver;Thorns[will be] in their tents.
It will comeabout that justas you were a curseamong the nations,O houseof Judahand houseof Israel,soI will saveyou that you may becomea blessing.Do not fear;let your handsbe strong.'
When he has made her drinkthe water,then it shall comeabout, ifshe has defiledherself and has beenunfaithfulto her husband,that the waterwhich bringsa cursewill gointo her and [cause] bitterness,and her abdomenwill swelland her thighwill wasteaway,and the womanwill becomea curseamongher people.
