You shall multiplythe nation,You shall increasetheir gladness;They will be gladin Your presenceAs with the gladnessof harvest,As men rejoicewhen they dividethe spoil.
"You madetheir sonsnumerousas the starsof heaven,And You broughtthem into the landWhichYou had toldtheir fathersto enterand possess.
"He makesthe nationsgreat,then destroysthem; He enlargesthe nations,then leadsthem away.
Also He blessesthem and they multiplygreatly,And He does not let their cattledecrease.
I rejoiceat Your word,As one who findsgreatspoil.
You have putgladnessin my heart,Morethanwhentheir grainand newwineabound.
The LORDof hostswill arousea scourgeagainsthim like the slaughterof Midianat the rockof Oreb;and His staffwill be overthe seaand He will liftit up the way[He did] in Egypt.
Then you will sayon that day,"I will givethanksto You, O LORD;For although You were angrywith me, Your angeris turnedaway,And You comfortme.
"The LORDhas brokenthe staffof the wicked,The scepterof rulers
And it will be saidin that day,"Behold,thisis our Godfor whom we have waitedthat He might saveus. Thisis the LORDfor whom we have waited;Let us rejoiceand be gladin His salvation."
You have increasedthe nation,O LORD,You have increasedthe nation,You are glorified;You have extendedallthe bordersof the land.
And the ransomedof the LORDwill returnAnd comewith joyfulshoutingto Zion,With everlastingjoyupon their heads.They will findgladnessand joy,And sorrowand sighingwill fleeaway.
It will blossomprofuselyAnd rejoicewith rejoicingand shoutof joy.The gloryof Lebanonwill be givento it, The majestyof Carmeland Sharon.They will seethe gloryof the LORD,The majestyof our God.
"Shoutfor joy,O barrenone,you who have borneno[child]; Breakforthinto joyfulshoutingand cryaloud,you who have not travailed;For the sonsof the desolateone [will be] morenumerousThanthe sonsof the marriedwoman," saysthe LORD.
"For you will goout with joyAnd be ledforthwith peace;The mountainsand the hillswill breakforthinto shoutsof joybeforeyou, And allthe treesof the fieldwill clap[their] hands.
I will rejoicegreatlyin the LORD,My soulwill exultin my God;For He has clothedme with garmentsof salvation,He has wrappedme with a robeof righteousness,As a bridegroomdeckshimself with a garland,And as a brideadornsherself with her jewels.
Insteadof your shame[you will have a] double[portion], And [instead of] humiliationthey will shoutfor joyover their portion.Thereforethey will possessa double[portion] in their land,Everlastingjoywill be theirs.
"Behold,My servantswill shoutjoyfullywith a gladheart,But you will cryout with a heavyheart,And you will wailwith a brokenspirit.
"But be gladand rejoiceforeverin whatI create;For behold,I createJerusalem[for] rejoicingAnd her people[for] gladness.
"Be joyfulwith Jerusalemand rejoicefor her, allyou who loveher; Be exceedinglygladwith her, allyou who mournoverher,
For thussaysthe LORD,"Singaloudwith gladnessfor Jacob,And shoutamong the chiefof the nations;Proclaim,givepraiseand say,'O LORD,saveYour people,The remnantof Israel.'
The more they multiplied,the morethey sinnedagainst Me; I will changetheir gloryinto shame.
I am the LORDyour God,whobroughtyou out of the landof Egyptsothat [you] would not be their slaves,and I brokethe barsof your yokeand made you walkerect.
"I will whistlefor them to gatherthem together, For I have redeemedthem; And they will be as numerousas they were before.
"Manynationswill jointhemselves to the LORDin that dayand will becomeMy people.Then I will dwellin your midst,and you will knowthat the LORDof hostshas sentMe to you.
"Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,'In thosedaystenmenfrom allthe nationswill graspthe garmentof a Jew,saying,"Let us gowith you, for we have heardthat Godis with you."'"
"But whensomeone strongerthan he attackshim and overpowershim, he takes awayfrom him all his armoron whichhe had reliedand distributeshis plunder.
Sothere was muchrejoicingin that city.
Rejoicein the Lordalways;againI will say,rejoice!
and though you have not seenHim, you loveHim, and though you do not seeHim now,but believein Him, you greatly rejoicewith joyinexpressibleand full of glory,

When they blew300trumpets,the LORDsetthe swordof oneagainst anothereven throughoutthe wholearmy;and the armyfledas faras Beth-shittahtoward Zererah,as faras the edgeof Abel-meholah,by Tabbath.
When Zebahand Zalmunnafled,he pursuedthem and capturedthe twokingsof Midian,Zebahand Zalmunna,and routedthe wholearmy.
When he had broughthim down,behold,they were spreadoverallthe land,eatingand drinkingand dancingbecause of allthe greatspoilthat they had takenfrom the landof the Philistinesand from the landof Judah.
