"So now,in the sightof allIsrael,the assemblyof the LORD,and in the hearingof our God,observeand seekafterallthe commandmentsof the LORDyour Godsothat you may possessthe goodlandand bequeath[it] to your sonsafteryou forever.
and he wentout to meetAsaand saidto him, "Listento me, Asa,and allJudahand Benjamin:the LORDis with you when you are with Him. And ifyou seekHim, He will let you findHim; but ifyou forsakeHim, He will forsakeyou.
and My peoplewhoare calledby My namehumblethemselves and prayand seekMy faceand turnfrom their wickedways,then I will hearfrom heaven,will forgivetheir sinand will healtheir land.

WhenHe killedthem, then they soughtHim, And returnedand searcheddiligentlyfor God;
And those who knowYour namewill puttheir trustin You, For You, O LORD,have not forsakenthose who seekYou.
At the headof the noisy[streets] she criesout; At the entranceof the gatesin the cityshe uttersher sayings:
The sacrificeof the wickedis an abominationto the LORD,But the prayerof the uprightis His delight.
Everywordof Godis tested;He is a shieldto those who takerefugein Him.
"Listen,for I will speaknoblethings;And the openingof my lips[will reveal] rightthings.
"So when you spreadout your hands[in prayer], I will hideMy eyesfrom you; Yes,eventhoughyou multiplyprayers,I will not listen.Your handsare coveredwith blood.
"It is I who have declaredand savedand proclaimed,And therewas nostrange[god] among you; So you are My witnesses,"declaresthe LORD,"And I am God.
Do not trembleand do not be afraid;Have I not longsinceannounced[it] to you and declared[it]? And you are My witnesses.Is thereanyGodbesidesMe, Or is thereany [other] Rock?I knowof none.'"
"I have swornby Myself, The wordhas goneforthfrom My mouthin righteousnessAnd will not turnback,That to Me everykneewill bow,everytonguewill swear[allegiance].
"In the LORDallthe offspringof IsraelWill be justifiedand will glory."
"Comenearto Me, listento this:From the firstI have not spokenin secret,From the timeit tookplace,I was there.And nowthe LordGODhas sentMe, and His Spirit."
Whois thiswho comesfrom Edom,With garmentsof glowingcolorsfrom Bozrah,ThisOnewho is majesticin His apparel,Marchingin the greatnessof His strength?"It is I who speakin righteousness,mightyto save."
"I will bringforthoffspringfrom Jacob,And an heirof My mountainsfrom Judah;Even My chosenonesshall inheritit, And My servantswill dwellthere.
Whenthey sayto you, "Consultthe mediumsand the spiritistswho whisperand mutter,"should not a peopleconsulttheir God?[Should they] [consult] the deadon behalfof the living?
"O generation,heedthe wordof the LORD.Have I beena wildernessto Israel,Ora landof thickdarkness?Whydo My peoplesay,We [are free to] roam;We will nolongercometo You'?
For thussaysthe LORDto the houseof Israel,"SeekMe that you may live.
Jesusansweredhim, "I have spokenopenlyto the world;I alwaystaughtin synagoguesand in the temple,whereallthe Jewscome together;and I spokenothingin secret.
"Look,He is speakingpublicly,and they are sayingnothingto Him. The rulersdo not reallyknowthat thisis the Christ,do they?
ThenJesuscriedout in the temple,teachingand saying,"You bothknow Me and knowwhereI amfrom; and I have not comeof Myself,but He who sentMe is true,whomyou do not know.
"The secretthingsbelong to the LORDour God,but the thingsrevealedbelong to us and to our sonsforever,that we may observeallthe wordsof thislaw.
"The Rock!His workis perfect,For allHis waysare just;A Godof faithfulnessand withoutinjustice,Righteousand uprightis He.
You askand do not receive,becauseyou askwith wrong motives,sothat you may spend[it] on your pleasures.
