"At nightit piercesmy boneswithinme, And my gnawing[pains] takenorest.
"My skinturnsblackon me, And my bonesburnwith fever.
My fleshtremblesfor fearof You, And I am afraidof Your judgments.Ayin.
"He will callupon Me, and I will answerhim; I will be with him in trouble;I will rescuehim and honorhim.
An excellentwifeis the crownof her husband,But she who shames[him] is like rottennessin his bones.
A tranquilheartis lifeto the body,But passionis rottennessto the bones.
For thisreasonmy loinsare fullof anguish;Painshave seizedme like the painsof a woman in labor.I am sobewilderedI cannothear,soterrifiedI cannotsee.
As for the prophets:My heartis brokenwithinme, Allmy bonestremble;I have becomelike a drunkenman,Even like a manovercomewith wine,Becauseof the LORDAnd becauseof His holywords.
Alas!for that dayis great,Thereis nonelikeit; And it is the timeof Jacob'sdistress,But he will be savedfrom it.
My soul,my soul!I am in anguish!Oh,my heart!My heartis poundingin me; I cannotbe silent,Becauseyou have heard,O my soul,The soundof the trumpet,The alarmof war.

So I was leftaloneand sawthisgreatvision;yet nostrengthwas leftin me, for my naturalcolorturnedto a deathlypallor,and I retainednostrength.
But I heardthe soundof his words;and as soon as I heardthe soundof his words,I fellinto a deepsleepon my face,with my faceto the ground.
Then I, Daniel,was exhaustedand sickfor days.Then I gotup [again] and carriedon the king'sbusiness;but I was astoundedat the vision,and therewas noneto explain[it].
LORD,I have heardthe reportabout You [and] I fear.O LORD,reviveYour workin the midstof the years,In the midstof the yearsmakeit known;In wrathremembermercy.
"By your enduranceyou will gainyour lives.
