Howhe sworeto the LORDAnd vowedto the MightyOneof Jacob,
Thereforethussaysthe LordGOD,"Behold,I am layingin Ziona stone,a testedstone,A costlycornerstone[for] the foundation,firmlyplaced.He who believes[in it] will not be disturbed.
UntilI finda placefor the LORD,A dwellingplacefor the MightyOneof Jacob."
Oh, giveear,Shepherdof Israel,You who leadJosephlike a flock;You who are enthroned[above] the cherubim,shineforth!
As for God,His wayis blameless;The wordof the LORDis tried;He is a shieldto allwho takerefugein Him.
My gloryis [ever] newwith me, And my bowis renewedin my hand.'
But the Lordstoodwith me and strengthenedme, sothat throughme the proclamationmight be fully accomplished,and that allthe Gentilesmight hear;and I was rescuedout of the lion'smouth.
having been builton the foundationof the apostlesand prophets,ChristJesusHimselfbeingthe corner[stone],
Thereforethe LordGODof hosts,The MightyOneof Israel,declares,"Ah,I will be relievedof My adversariesAnd avengeMyself on My foes.
The stonewhich the buildersrejectedHas becomethe chiefcorner[stone].
"The Rock!His workis perfect,For allHis waysare just;A Godof faithfulnessand withoutinjustice,Righteousand uprightis He.
"Nowdo not be grievedor angrywith yourselves,becauseyou soldme here,for Godsentme beforeyou to preservelife.
strengthenedwith allpower,accordingto His gloriousmight,for the attaining of allsteadfastnessand patience;joyously
Whoare you to judgethe servantof another?To his ownmasterhe standsorfalls;and he will stand,for the Lordis ableto make him stand.
"He is the STONEWHICH WAS REJECTEDby you, THE BUILDERS,[but] WHICH BECAMETHE CHIEFCORNER[stone].
But Jesus lookedat them and said,"Whatthenis thisthat is written:THE STONEWHICHTHE BUILDERSREJECTED,THISBECAMETHE CHIEFCORNER[stone]'?
"Have you not evenreadthisScripture:THE STONEWHICHTHE BUILDERSREJECTED,THISBECAMETHE CHIEFCORNER[stone];
Jesussaidto them, "Did you neverreadin the Scriptures,THE STONEWHICHTHE BUILDERSREJECTED,THISBECAMETHE CHIEFCORNER[stone]; THISCAMEABOUT FROM THE LORD,AND IT IS MARVELOUSIN OUR EYES'?
"And I will strengthenthem in the LORD,And in His namethey will walk,"declaresthe LORD.
For behold,the stonethat I have setbeforeJoshua;on onestoneare seveneyes.Behold,I will engravean inscriptionon it,' declaresthe LORDof hosts,and I will removethe iniquityof that landin oneday.
"You will also suckthe milkof nationsAnd suckthe breastof kings;Then you will knowthat I, the LORD,am your SaviorAnd your Redeemer,the MightyOneof Jacob.
Do not fear,for I am with you; Do not anxiously lookabout you, for I am your God.I will strengthenyou, surelyI will helpyou, SurelyI will upholdyou with My righteousrighthand.'
"Those who errin mindwill knowthe truth,And those who criticizewill acceptinstruction.
I will singof the lovingkindnessof the LORDforever;To allgenerationsI will makeknownYour faithfulnesswith my mouth.
But You have savedus from our adversaries,And You have putto shamethose who hateus.
The LORDis their strength,And He is a savingdefenseto His anointed.
Waitfor the LORD;Be strongand let your hearttakecourage;Yes, waitfor the LORD.
The LORDis my shepherd,I shall not want.
"I loveYou, O LORD,my strength."
For allof them were [trying] to frightenus, thinking,"They will becomediscouragedwith the workand it will not be done."But now,[O God], strengthenmy hands.
Now Joshuathe sonof Nunwas filledwith the spiritof wisdom,for Moseshad laidhis handson him; and the sonsof Israellistenedto him and didas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
He saidalso, "I am the Godof your father,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob."Then Moseshidhis face,for he was afraidto lookat God.
"Sotherefore, do not be afraid;I will providefor you and your littleones."So he comfortedthem and spokekindlyto them.
Josephprovidedhis fatherand his brothersand allhis father'shouseholdwith food,accordingto their littleones.
"ThereI will also providefor you, for there are stillfiveyearsof famine[to come], and you and your householdand allthat you have would be impoverished."'
"Godsentme beforeyou to preservefor you a remnantin the earth,and to keepyou aliveby a greatdeliverance.
He blessedJoseph,and said,"The Godbeforewhommy fathersAbrahamand Isaacwalked,The Godwho has been my shepherdallmy lifeto thisday,
"The archersbitterlyattacked him, And shot[at him] and harassedhim;
"The eternalGodis a dwellingplace,And underneathare the everlastingarms;And He droveout the enemyfrom beforeyou, And said,'Destroy!'
"Previously,when Saulwas kingoverus, you were the one who ledIsraelout and in. And the LORDsaidto you, 'You will shepherdMy peopleIsrael,and you will be a ruleroverIsrael.'"
Nevertheless I am continuallywith You; You have takenholdof my righthand.
Remember,O LORD,on David'sbehalf, Allhis affliction;
"I will feedyour oppressorswith their own flesh,And they will becomedrunkwith their own bloodas with sweetwine;And allfleshwill knowthat I, the LORD,am your SaviorAnd your Redeemer,the MightyOneof Jacob."
but the hillcountryshall be yours. For though it is a forest,you shall clearit, and to its farthestbordersit shall be yours; for you shall driveout the Canaanites,eventhoughthey have chariotsof iron[and] thoughthey are strong."
Likewise the houseof Josephwentup against Bethel,and the LORDwas with them.
Then he saidto the kingof Israel,"Putyour handon the bow."And he puthis hand[on it], then Elishalaidhis handson the king'shands.
