He said,"O LORD,the Godof my masterAbraham,pleasegrantme successtoday,and showlovingkindnessto my masterAbraham.
Afterthesethingsthe wordof the LORDcameto Abramin a vision,saying,"Do not fear,Abram,I am a shieldto you; Your rewardshall be verygreat."
Meanwhile, the manwas gazingat her in silence,to knowwhether the LORDhad madehis journeysuccessfulornot.
He said,"Blessedbe the LORD,the Godof my masterAbraham,whohas not forsakenHis lovingkindnessand His truthtowardmy master;as for me, the LORDhas guidedme in the wayto the houseof my master'sbrothers."
"So I cametodayto the spring,and said,'O LORD,the Godof my masterAbraham,ifnowYou will make my journeyon whichI gosuccessful;
"And I bowedlowand worshipedthe LORD,and blessedthe LORD,the Godof my masterAbraham,whohad guidedme in the rightwayto takethe daughterof my master'skinsmanfor his son.
The LORDappearedto him the samenightand said,"I am the Godof your fatherAbraham;Do not fear,for I am with you. I will blessyou, and multiplyyour descendants,For the sakeof My servantAbraham."
"Then you shall bring[it] to your father,that he may eat,sothat he may blessyou beforehis death."
Isaacsaidto his son,"Howis it that you have[it] so quickly,my son?"And he said,"Becausethe LORDyour Godcaused [it] to happento me."
And behold,the LORDstoodaboveit and said,"I am the LORD,the Godof your fatherAbrahamand the Godof Isaac;the landon whichyou lie,I will giveit to you and to your descendants.
"Ifthe Godof my father,the Godof Abraham,and the fearof Isaac,hadnot beenfor me, surelynowyou would have sentme awayempty-handed.Godhas seenmy afflictionand the toilof my hands,so He renderedjudgmentlastnight."
I am unworthyof allthe lovingkindnessand of allthe faithfulnesswhichYou have shownto Your servant;for with my staff[only] I crossedthisJordan,and nowI have becometwocompanies.
Jacobsaid,"O Godof my fatherAbrahamand Godof my fatherIsaac,O LORD,who saidto me, 'Returnto your countryand to your relatives,and I will prosperyou,'
and may GodAlmightygrantyou compassionin the sightof the man,so that he will releaseto you your otherbrotherand Benjamin.And as for me, ifI am bereavedof my children,I am bereaved."
At the timeof the offeringof the [evening] sacrifice,Elijahthe prophetcamenearand said,"O LORD,the Godof Abraham,Isaacand Israel,todaylet it be knownthat You are Godin Israeland that I am Your servantand I have doneallthesethingsat Your word.
He tookthe mantleof Elijahthat fellfrom him and struckthe watersand said,"Whereis the LORD,the Godof Elijah?"And when he alsohad struckthe waters,they were dividedhereand there;and Elishacrossedover.
"OLord,I beseechYou, may Your earbe attentiveto the prayerof Your servantand the prayerof Your servantswho delightto revereYour name,and makeYour servantsuccessfultodayand granthim compassionbeforethisman."Now I was the cupbearerto the king.
Then the kingsaidto me, "Whatwould you request?"So I prayedto the Godof heaven.
OLORD,do save,we beseechYou; OLORD,we beseechYou, do sendprosperity!
Prayfor the peaceof Jerusalem:"May they prosperwho loveyou.
Unlessthe LORDbuildsthe house,They laborin vainwho buildit; Unlessthe LORDguardsthe city,The watchmankeepsawakein vain.
Commityour wayto the LORD,Trustalso in Him, and He will doit.
God,furthermore,saidto Moses,"Thusyou shall sayto the sonsof Israel,The LORD,the Godof your fathers,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob,has sentme to you.' Thisis My nameforever,and thisis My memorial-nameto allgenerations.
He saidalso, "I am the Godof your father,the Godof Abraham,the Godof Isaac,and the Godof Jacob."Then Moseshidhis face,for he was afraidto lookat God.
In allyour waysacknowledgeHim, And He will makeyour pathsstraight.
I AMTHE GODOF ABRAHAM,AND THE GODOF ISAAC,AND THE GODOF JACOB?He is not the Godof the deadbut of the living."
Be anxiousfor nothing,but in everythingby prayerand supplicationwith thanksgivinglet your requestsbe made knownto God.
