On that daythe LORDmadea covenantwith Abram,saying,"To your descendantsI have giventhisland,From the riverof Egyptas faras the greatriver,the riverEuphrates:
The LORDappearedto Abramand said,"To your descendantsI will givethisland."So he builtan altarthereto the LORDwho had appearedto him.
for allthe landwhichyou see,I will giveit to you and to your descendantsforever.
The nameof the thirdriveris Tigris;it flowseastof Assyria.And the fourthriveris the Euphrates.
"The LORD,the Godof heaven,whotookme from my father'shouseand from the landof my birth,and whospoketo me and whosworeto me, saying,To your descendantsI will givethisland,'He will sendHis angelbeforeyou, and you will takea wifefor my sonfrom there.
"I will multiplyyour descendantsas the starsof heaven,and will giveyour descendantsalltheselands;and by your descendantsallthe nationsof the earthshall be blessed;
"May He also giveyou the blessingof Abraham,to you and to your descendantswith you, that you may possessthe landof your sojournings,whichGodgaveto Abraham."
"The landwhichI gaveto Abrahamand Isaac,I will giveit to you, And I will givethe landto your descendantsafter you."
Josephsaidto his brothers,"I am about to die,but Godwill surelytakecareof you and bringyou up from thislandto the landwhichHe promisedon oathto Abraham,to Isaacand to Jacob."
"Trulyis not my housesowith God?For He has madean everlastingcovenantwith me, Orderedin allthings,and secured;For allmy salvationand all[my] desire,Will He not indeedmake [it] grow?
Then DaviddefeatedHadadezer,the sonof Rehobkingof Zobah,as he wentto restorehis ruleat the River.
Now Solomonruledover allthe kingdomsfrom the River[to] the landof the Philistinesand to the borderof Egypt;[they] broughttributeand servedSolomonallthe daysof his life.
Now Hiramkingof Tyresenthis servantsto Solomon,whenhe heardthat they had anointedhim kingin placeof his father,for Hiramhadalwaysbeena friendof David.
[The covenant] whichHe madewith Abraham,And His oathto Isaac.
To the easthe settledas faras the entranceof the wildernessfrom the riverEuphrates,becausetheir cattlehad increasedin the landof Gilead.
So Solomonobservedthe feastat that timefor sevendays,and allIsraelwith him, a verygreatassembly[who came] from the entranceof Hamathto the brookof Egypt.
Allof the peoplewho were leftof the Hittites,the Amorites,the Perizzites,the Hivitesand the Jebusites,whowere not of Israel,
He was the rulerover allthe kingsfrom the EuphratesRivereven to the landof the Philistines,and as faras the borderof Egypt.
that mightykingshave ruledoverJerusalem,governingall[the provinces] beyondthe River,and that tribute,customand tollwere paidto them.
"You foundhis heartfaithfulbeforeYou, And madea covenantwith him To give[him] the landof the Canaanite,Of the Hittiteand the Amorite,Of the Perizzite,the Jebusiteand the Girgashite--To give[it] to his descendants.And You have fulfilledYour promise,For You are righteous.
Saying,"To you I will givethe landof CanaanAs the portionof your inheritance,"
"Now whenthe LORDbringsyou to the landof the Canaanite,as He sworeto you and to your fathers,and givesit to you,
So Godheardtheir groaning;and GodrememberedHis covenantwith Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob.
"For My angelwill gobeforeyou and bringyou in to [the land of] the Amorites,the Hittites,the Perizzites,the Canaanites,the Hivitesand the Jebusites;and I will completelydestroythem.
"So I have comedownto deliverthem from the powerof the Egyptians,and to bringthem up from that landto a goodand spaciousland,to a landflowingwith milkand honey,to the placeof the Canaaniteand the Hittiteand the Amoriteand the Perizziteand the Hiviteand the Jebusite.
"RememberAbraham,Isaac,and Israel,Your servantsto whomYou sworeby Yourself, and saidto them, 'I will multiplyyour descendantsas the starsof the heavens,and allthislandof whichI have spokenI will giveto your descendants,and they shall inherit[it] forever.'"
"Be sure to observewhatI am commandingyou this day:behold,I am going to driveout the Amoritebeforeyou, and the Canaanite,the Hittite,the Perizzite,the Hiviteand the Jebusite.
"For I will driveout nationsbeforeyou and enlargeyour borders,and nomanshall covetyour landwhen you goup threetimesa yearto appearbeforethe LORDyour God.
"I alsoestablishedMy covenantwith them, to givethem the landof Canaan,the landin whichthey sojourned.
I will bringyou to the landwhichI sworeto giveto Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob,and I will giveit to you [for] a possession;I am the LORD.'"
In that daythe LORDwill start [His] threshingfrom the flowingstreamof the Euphratesto the brookof Egypt,and you will be gatheredup oneby one,O sonsof Israel.
"Inclineyour earand cometo Me. Listen,that you may live;And I will makean everlastingcovenantwith you, [According to] the faithfulmerciesshown to David.
and gavethem thisland,whichYou sworeto their forefathersto givethem, a landflowingwith milkand honey.
"I will makean everlastingcovenantwith them that I will not turnawayfrom them, to dothem good;and I will putthe fearof Me in their heartsso that they will not turnawayfrom Me.
then I will rememberMy covenantwith Jacob,and I will rememberalsoMy covenantwith Isaac,and My covenantwith Abrahamas well,and I will rememberthe land.
But I will rememberfor them the covenantwith their ancestors,whomI broughtout of the landof Egyptin the sightof the nations,that I might be their God.I am the LORD.'"
The bordershall turn[direction] from Azmonto the brookof Egypt,and its terminationshall be at the sea.
"But He gavehim noinheritancein it, not evena footof ground,and [yet], even when he had nochild,He promisedthat HE WOULD GIVEIT TO HIM AS A POSSESSION,AND TO HIS DESCENDANTSAFTERHIM.
"Everyplaceon whichthe soleof your foottreadsshall be yours; your borderwill be from the wildernessto Lebanon,[and] from the river,the riverEuphrates,as faras the westernsea.
"Whenthe LORDyour Godextendsyour borderas He has promisedyou, and you say,'I will eatmeat,'becauseyou desireto eatmeat,[then] you may eatmeat,whateveryou desire.
"Ifthe LORDyour Godenlargesyour territory,justas He has swornto your fathers,and givesyou allthe landwhichHe promisedto giveyour fathers--
Then the LORDsaidto him, "Thisis the landwhichI sworeto Abraham,Isaac,and Jacob,saying,'I will giveit to your descendants;I have let you see[it] with your eyes,but you shall not gooverthere."
"Whenthe LORDyour Godbringsyou into the landwhereyou are enteringto possessit, and clearsawaymanynationsbeforeyou, the Hittitesand the Girgashitesand the Amoritesand the Canaanitesand the Perizzitesand the Hivitesand the Jebusites,sevennationsgreaterand strongerthanyou,
Nowthe Godof peace,who broughtup from the deadthe greatShepherdof the sheepthroughthe bloodof the eternalcovenant,[even] Jesusour Lord,
from the Shihorwhichis eastof Egypt,even as faras the borderof Ekronto the north(it is countedas Canaanite);the fivelordsof the Philistines:the Gazite,the Ashdodite,the Ashkelonite,the Gittite,the Ekronite;and the Avvite
It continuedto Azmonand proceededto the brookof Egypt,and the borderendedat the sea.Thisshall be your southborder.
one sayingto the sixthangelwho hadthe trumpet,"Releasethe fourangelswho are boundat the greatriverEuphrates."
