"You shall not eatleavenedbreadwith it; sevendaysyou shall eatwith it unleavenedbread,the breadof affliction(for you cameout of the landof Egyptin haste),sothat you may rememberallthe daysof your lifethe daywhen you cameout of the landof Egypt.
They bakedthe doughwhichthey had broughtout of Egyptinto cakesof unleavenedbread.For it had not becomeleavened,sincethey were drivenout of Egyptand couldnot delay,norhad they preparedanyprovisionsfor themselves.
"You shall observethe Feastof UnleavenedBread.For sevendaysyou are to eatunleavenedbread,as I commandedyou, at the appointedtimein the monthof Abib,for in the monthof Abibyou cameout of Egypt.
And when He had taken[some] bread[and] given thanks,He brokeit and gaveit to them, saying,"Thisis My bodywhich is givenfor you; dothisin remembranceof Me."
In the secondmonthon the fourteenthdayat twilight,they shall observeit; they shall eatit with unleavenedbreadand bitterherbs.
They shall eatthe fleshthat [same] night,roastedwith fire,and they shall eatit with unleavenedbreadand bitterherbs.
You alsobecameimitatorsof us and of the Lord,having receivedthe wordin muchtribulationwith the joyof the HolySpirit,
Thereforelet us celebrate the feast,not with oldleaven,norwith the leavenof maliceand wickedness,but with the unleavenedbread of sincerityand truth.
"I will pourout on the houseof Davidand on the inhabitantsof Jerusalem,the Spiritof graceand of supplication,so that they will lookon Me whomthey have pierced;and they will mournfor Him, as one mournsfor an onlyson,and they will weepbitterlyoverHim like the bitterweepingovera firstborn.
It is vainfor you to riseup early,To retirelate,To eatthe breadof painfullabors;For He givesto His beloved[even in his] sleep.
He has madeHis wondersto be remembered;The LORDis graciousand compassionate.
For I have eatenasheslike breadAnd mingledmy drinkwith weeping
and say,'Thussaysthe king,"Putthisman in prisonand feedhim sparinglywith breadand wateruntilI returnsafely."'"
On the fifteenthdayof thismonth[shall be] a feast,unleavenedbread[shall be] eatenfor sevendays.
Then on the fifteenthdayof the samemonththere is the Feastof UnleavenedBreadto the LORD;for sevendaysyou shall eatunleavenedbread.
Now you shall eatit in thismanner:[with] your loinsgirded,your sandalson your feet,and your staffin your hand;and you shall eatit in haste--it is the LORD'SPassover.
You shall also observethe [Feast of] UnleavenedBread,for on thisverydayI broughtyour hostsout of the landof Egypt;therefore you shall observethisdaythroughout your generationsas a permanentordinance.
"Onlygiveheedto yourself and keepyour souldiligently,sothat you do not forgetthe thingswhichyour eyeshave seenand they do not departfrom your heartallthe daysof your life;but makethem knownto your sonsand your grandsons.
"You shall sacrificethe Passoverto the LORDyour Godfrom the flockand the herd,in the placewherethe LORDchoosesto establishHis name.
But you will not goout in haste,Norwill you goas fugitives;For the LORDwill gobeforeyou, And the Godof Israel[will be] your rearguard.
then you shall sayto them, 'Becausethe watersof the Jordanwere cutoffbeforethe arkof the covenantof the LORD;when it crossedthe Jordan,the watersof the Jordanwere cutoff.'So thesestonesshall becomea memorialto the sonsof Israelforever."
