"Behold,daysare coming,"declaresthe LORD,"When the plowmanwill overtakethe reaperAnd the treaderof grapeshim who sowsseed;When the mountainswill dripsweetwineAnd allthe hillswill be dissolved.
And in that dayThe mountainswill dripwith sweetwine,And the hillswill flowwith milk,And allthe brooksof Judahwill flowwith water;And a springwill goout from the houseof the LORDTo waterthe valleyof Shittim.
"Do you not say,'There are yetfour months,and [then] comesthe harvest?Behold,I sayto you, liftup your eyesand lookon the fields,that they are whitefor harvest.
"Insteadof the thornbushthe cypresswill comeup, And insteadof the nettlethe myrtlewill comeup, And it will be a memorialto the LORD,For an everlastingsignwhich will not be cutoff."
Indeed, your threshingwill lastfor you untilgrapegathering,and grapegatheringwill lastuntilsowingtime.You will thus eatyour foodto the fulland livesecurelyin your land.
"They will say,'Thisdesolatelandhas becomelike the gardenof Eden;and the waste,desolateand ruinedcitiesare fortified[and] inhabited.'
But Judahwill be inhabitedforeverAnd Jerusalemfor allgenerations.
The mountainsmeltedlike waxat the presenceof the LORD,At the presenceof the Lordof the wholeearth.
"The mountainsquakedat the presenceof the LORD,ThisSinai,at the presenceof the LORD,the Godof Israel.
The LordGODof hosts,The One who touchesthe landso that it melts,And allthose who dwellin it mourn,And allof it risesup like the NileAnd subsideslike the Nileof Egypt;
"He ties[his] foalto the vine,And his donkey'scoltto the choicevine;He washeshis garmentsin wine,And his robesin the bloodof grapes.
Gladnessand joyare takenawayfrom the fruitfulfield;In the vineyardsalso there will be nocriesof joyor jubilantshouting,Notreadertreadsout winein the presses,[For] I have made the shoutingto cease.
"They will livein it securely;and they will buildhouses,plantvineyardsand livesecurelywhen I executejudgmentsupon allwho scornthem roundaboutthem. Then they will knowthat I am the LORDtheir God."'"
The threshingfloorswill be fullof grain,And the vatswill overflowwith the newwineand oil.
