A wisemanis cautiousand turnsawayfrom evil,But a foolis arrogantand careless.
Ceaselistening,my son,to discipline,[And you will] strayfrom the wordsof knowledge.
Thereis nowisdomand nounderstandingAnd nocounselagainstthe LORD.
An arrogantman stirsup strife,But he who trustsin the LORDwill prosper.
A man'spridewill bringhim low,But a humblespiritwill obtainhonor.
