Solomon began building the Lord’s temple {\cf2\super [22]} at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah. Mount Moriah is the place where the Lord came to David, Solomon’s father. Solomon built the temple on the place that David had made ready. This place was at the threshing floor {\cf2\super [23]} that had belonged to Araunah {\cf2\super [24]} the Jebusite.
\{That army will send messengers\par to their country.\}\par What will those messengers tell their people?\par They will announce:\par \{Philistia was defeated,\}\par but the Lord made Zion {\cf2\super [156]} strong.\par And his poor people went there for safety.\par
Because of those things, the Lord my Master says, “I will put a rock—a cornerstone—in the ground in Zion. {\cf2\super [259]} This will be a very precious stone. {\cf2\super [260]} Everything will be built on this very important rock. Any person that trusts \{in that rock\} will not be disappointed.
The Lord says, “I will bring those people to my holy mountain. I will make them happy in my house of prayer. The offerings and sacrifices they give me will please me. Why? Because my temple {\cf2\super [439]} will be called a house of prayer for all nations.”
The Lord says, “I have come back to Zion. I am living in Jerusalem. Jerusalem will be called FAITHFUL CITY. The Lord All-Powerful’s mountain will be called HOLY MOUNTAIN.”
So I tell you, you are Peter. {\cf2\super [230]} And I will build my church on this rock. The power of death {\cf2\super [231]} will not be able to defeat my church.
