Psalm 87 - Easy To Read Version

¹ God built his temple\par on the holy hills \{of Jerusalem\}.\par

² The Lord loves Zion’s gates\par more than any other place in Israel.\par

³ City of God, people say wonderful things\par about you.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [496]})\i0 \par

⁴ \{God keeps a list of all of his people.\}\par Some of them live in Egypt {\cf2\super [497]} and Babylon.\par Some of them were born in Philistia, Tyre,\par and even Ethiopia.\par

⁵ God knows every person born on Zion.\par God Most-High built that city.\par

⁶ God keeps a list about all his people.\par God knows where each person was born.\par \i (SELAH {\cf2\super [498]})\i0 \par

⁷ \{God’s people go to Jerusalem\par to celebrate the special holidays.\}\par They are very happy.\par They are singing and dancing.\par They say,\par “All good things come from Jerusalem.”\par
