The Lord helps blind people see again.\par The Lord helps people who are in trouble.\par The Lord loves good people.\par


My Master, I will open my mouth\par and sing your praises!\par


God made our ears,\par so surely he \{has ears too,\par and\} can hear what is happening!\par God made our eyes,\par so surely he \{has eyes too,\par and\} can see what is happening!\par


The Lord gave us eyes to see with and ears to hear with—\{use them\}!

Then Jeremiah said, “But Lord All-Powerful, I don’t know how to speak. I am only a boy.”

Now the power of the Lord my Master had come on me the evening before that person came to me. \{God made me not able to speak.\} At the time that person came to me, the Lord had opened my mouth and let me speak again.


If a trumpet blows a warning, then the people will surely shake with fear. If trouble comes to a city, then the Lord caused it.


Blind people are able to see again; crippled people are able to walk again; people that have leprosy {\cf2\super [131]} are healed; deaf people can hear again; dead people are raised from death; and the Good News {\cf2\super [132]} is told to the poor people.


Now, listen! You will not be able to talk until the day when these things happen. You will lose your speech. Why? Because you did not believe what I told you. But these things will really happen.”


Then Zechariah could talk again. He began to praise God.


But other Jews said, “These things we are hearing are not coming from someone that is crazy with a demon {\cf2\super [164]} . Can a demon heal the eyes of blind people? No!”
