So God sent his servant, Moses,\par and Aaron, God’s chosen priest.\par


Show me what you want me to do.\par You are my God.\par


So don’t be stupid like a horse or a donkey.\par People must use bits and reins {\cf2\super [202]} \par to lead those animals.\par Without those things,\par those animals will not come near {\cf2\super [203]} you.”\par


God said, “You can do it because I will be with you! This will be the proof that I am sending you: After you lead the people out of Egypt, you will come and worship me on this mountain!”


But Moses said, “My Lord, I beg you to send another person—not me.”


He will go with you to Pharaoh. I will tell you what to say. Then you will tell Aaron, and Aaron will choose the right words to speak to Pharaoh.


Aaron will also speak to the people for you. You will be like a great king, and he will be your official speaker. [34]


\{The Lord uses me to speak for him.\}\par He uses me like a sharp sword,\par \{But he also protects me,\}\par hiding me in his hand.\par The Lord uses me like a sharp arrow,\par but he also hides me in his arrow bag.\par


The Lord my Master gave me the ability to teach. So now I teach these sad people. Every morning he wakes me and teaches me like a student.


Then the Lord reached out with his hand and touched my mouth. The Lord said to me,


Then Moses said, “I will show you proof that the Lord sent me to do all the things I told you. I will show you that all those things were not my own idea.


You will be arrested and judged. But don’t worry about what you should say. Say the things God gives you to say at that time. It will not really be you speaking. It will be the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [184]} speaking.


One time Jesus was praying in a place. When Jesus finished praying, one of his followers said to him, “John {\cf2\super [198]} taught his followers how to pray. Lord, teach us how to pray too.”


But the Helper {\cf2\super [215]} will teach you everything. The Helper will cause you to remember all the things I told you. This Helper is the Holy Spirit {\cf2\super [216]} that the Father will send in my name.


Also pray for me. Pray that when I speak, God will give me words so that I can tell the secret truth about the Good News {\cf2\super [48]} without fear.


I will send them a prophet [121] like you. This prophet will be one of their own people. I will tell him the things he must say. And he will tell the people everything I command.
