Then Jacobmadea vow,saying,"IfGodwill be with me and will keepme on thisjourneythat I take,and will giveme foodto eatand garmentsto wear,
and for his allowance,a regularallowancewas givenhim by the king,a portionfor eachday,allthe daysof his life.
"I have not departedfrom the commandof His lips;I have treasuredthe wordsof His mouthmorethanmy necessaryfood.
Removethe false wayfrom me, And graciouslygrantme Your law.
Turnawaymy eyesfrom lookingat vanity,And reviveme in Your ways.

A righteousmanhatesfalsehood,But a wickedmanactsdisgustinglyand shamefully.
The acquisitionof treasuresby a lyingtongueIs a fleetingvapor,the pursuitof death.
He who sowsiniquitywill reapvanity,And the rodof his furywill perish.
When you setyour eyeson it, it is gone.For [wealth] certainlymakesitself wingsLike an eaglethat flies[toward] the heavens.
TwothingsI askedof You, Do not refuseme beforeI die:
"Vanityof vanities,"saysthe Preacher,"Vanityof vanities!Allis vanity."
Woeto those who draginiquitywith the cordsof falsehood,And sinas if with cartropes;
Noonesuesrighteouslyand noonepleadshonestly.They trustin confusionand speaklies;They conceivemischiefand bringforthiniquity.
Then KingZedekiahgavecommandment,and they committedJeremiahto the courtof the guardhouseand gavehim a loafof breaddailyfrom the bakers'street,untilallthe breadin the citywas gone.So Jeremiahremainedin the courtof the guardhouse.
For his allowance,a regularallowancewas givenhim by the kingof Babylon,a dailyportionallthe daysof his lifeuntilthe dayof his death.

and saying,"Men,whyare you doingthese things?We are alsomenof the same natureas you, and preach the gospelto you that you should turnfrom thesevain thingsto a livingGod,WHOMADETHE HEAVENAND THE EARTHAND THE SEAAND ALLTHAT IS IN THEM.
