By lovingkindnessand truthiniquityis atonedfor, And by the fearof the LORDone keepsawayfrom evil.
The prudentseesthe eviland hideshimself, But the naivegoon, and are punishedfor it.
How blessedis the manwho fearsalways,But he who hardenshis heartwill fallinto calamity.
When a wisemanhasa controversywith a foolishman,The foolish man either ragesor laughs,and thereis norest.
Do not be wisein your own eyes;Fearthe LORDand turnawayfrom evil.
Suddenlyhe followsher As an oxgoesto the slaughter,Or as [one in] fettersto the disciplineof a fool,
the beginningof his talkingis follyand the endof it is wickedmadness.
