Ifthe righteouswill be rewardedin the earth,Howmuchmorethe wickedand the sinner!
"The LORDhas rewardedme according to my righteousness;According to the cleannessof my handsHe has recompensedme.
"Therefore the LORDhas recompensedme according to my righteousness,According to my cleannessbeforeHis eyes.
Now when he had gone,a lionmethim on the wayand killedhim, and his bodywas thrownon the road,with the donkeystandingbesideit; the lionalso was standingbesidethe body.
Whoever lovesdisciplinelovesknowledge,But he who hatesreproofis stupid.
Adversitypursuessinners,But the righteouswill be rewardedwith prosperity.
[Like] an archerwho woundseveryone,So is he who hiresa foolor who hiresthose who passby.
Thus I will punishthe worldfor its evilAnd the wickedfor their iniquity;I will also putan endto the arroganceof the proudAnd abasethe haughtinessof the ruthless.
Woeto the wicked![It will go] badly[with him], For whathe deserveswill be doneto him.
"For behold,I am beginningto workcalamityin [this] citywhichis calledby My name,and shall you be completelyfreefrom punishment?You will not be freefrom punishment;for I am summoninga swordagainstallthe inhabitantsof the earth,"declaresthe LORDof hosts.'
"But the Leviteswhowentfarfrom Me when Israelwentastray,whowentastrayfrom Me aftertheir idols,shall bearthe punishmentfor their iniquity.
And it will be, like people,like priest;So I will punishthem for their waysAnd repaythem for their deeds.
