Ifhis offeringis a burntofferingfrom the herd,he shall offerit, a malewithoutdefect;he shall offerit at the doorwayof the tentof meeting,that he may be acceptedbeforethe LORD.
Then Abrahamraisedhis eyesand looked,and behold,behind[him] a ramcaughtin the thicketby his horns;and Abrahamwentand tookthe ramand offeredhim up for a burntofferingin the placeof his son.
He said,"Takenowyour son,your onlyson, whomyou love,Isaac,and goto the landof Moriah,and offerhim thereas a burntofferingon oneof the mountainsof whichI will tellyou."
Abrahamsaid,"Godwill providefor Himself the lambfor the burntoffering,my son."So the twoof them walkedon together.
Then Noahbuiltan altarto the LORD,and tookof everycleananimaland of everycleanbirdand offeredburntofferingson the altar.
The numberof the burntofferingswhichthe assemblybroughtwas 70bulls,100rams,and 200lambs;allthesewere for a burntofferingto the LORD.
Then they removedthe burntofferingsthat [they] might givethem to the sectionsof the fathers'householdsof the laypeopleto presentto the LORD,as it is writtenin the bookof Moses.[They did] thisalso with the bulls.
Your peoplewill volunteerfreelyin the dayof Your power;In holyarray,from the wombof the dawn,Your youthare to You [as] the dew.
I delightto doYour will,O my God;Your Lawis withinmy heart."
Your lambshall be an unblemishedmalea yearold;you may takeit from the sheepor from the goats.
He sentyoungmenof the sonsof Israel,and they offeredburntofferingsand sacrificedyoungbullsas peaceofferingsto the LORD.
"You shall offerup in smokethe wholeramon the altar;it is a burntofferingto the LORD:it is a soothingaroma,an offeringby fireto the LORD.
"Then you shall bringAaronand his sonsto the doorwayof the tentof meetingand washthem with water.
"It shall be a continualburntofferingthroughout your generationsat the doorwayof the tentof meetingbeforethe LORD,whereI will meetwith you, to speakto you there.
So the nextdaythey roseearlyand offeredburntofferings,and broughtpeaceofferings;and the peoplesatdownto eatand to drink,and roseup to play.
Everyonewhoseheartstirredhim and everyonewhosespiritmovedhim came[and] broughtthe LORD'Scontributionfor the workof the tentof meetingand for allits serviceand for the holygarments.
The Israelites,allthe menand women,whoseheartmovedthem to bring[material] for allthe work,whichthe LORDhad commandedthroughMosesto be done,broughta freewillofferingto the LORD.
Takefrom among you a contributionto the LORD;whoeveris of a willingheart,let him bringit as the LORD'Scontribution:gold,silver,and bronze,
They receivedfrom Mosesallthe contributionswhichthe sonsof Israelhad broughtto performthe workin the constructionof the sanctuary.And they still[continued] bringingto him freewillofferingseverymorning.
Then he madethe altarof burntofferingof acaciawood,fivecubitslong,and fivecubitswide,square,and threecubitshigh.
"Whatare your multipliedsacrificesto Me?" Saysthe LORD."I have hadenoughof burntofferingsof ramsAnd the fatof fedcattle;And I takenopleasurein the bloodof bulls,lambsor goats.
"For on My holymountain,on the highmountainof Israel,"declaresthe LordGOD,"therethe wholehouseof Israel,allof them, will serveMe in the land;thereI will acceptthem and thereI will seekyour contributionsand the choicestof your gifts,with allyour holythings.
In the porchof the gate[were] twotableson eachside,on which to slaughterthe burntoffering,the sinofferingand the guiltoffering.
But ifhis offeringis from the flock,of the sheeporof the goats,for a burntoffering,he shall offerit a malewithoutdefect.
"Now on the eighthdayhe is to taketwomalelambswithoutdefect,and a yearlingewelambwithoutdefect,and three-tenths[of an] [ephah] of fineflourmixedwith oilfor a grain offering,and onelogof oil;
"He shall takethe twogoatsand presentthem beforethe LORDat the doorwayof the tentof meeting.
and has not broughtit to the doorwayof the tentof meetingto present[it] as an offeringto the LORDbeforethe tabernacleof the LORD,bloodguiltinessis to be reckonedto that man.He has shedbloodand that manshall be cutofffrom amonghis people.
"Then you shall sayto them, 'Anymanfrom the houseof Israel,or from the alienswhosojournamongthem, whooffersa burntofferingorsacrifice,
and does not bringit to the doorwayof the tentof meetingto offerit to the LORD,that manalso shall be cutofffrom his people.
Now on the daywhen you wavethe sheaf,you shall offera malelambone yearoldwithoutdefectfor a burntofferingto the LORD.
Alongwith the breadyou shall presentsevenone yearoldmalelambswithoutdefect,and a bullof the herdand tworams;they are to be a burntofferingto the LORD,with their grain offeringand their drinkofferings,an offeringby fireof a soothingaromato the LORD.
Now ifhis offeringis a sacrificeof peaceofferings,ifhe is going to offerout of the herd,whethermaleorfemale,he shall offerit withoutdefectbeforethe LORD.
Then the eldersof the congregationshall laytheir handson the headof the bullbeforethe LORD,and the bullshall be slainbeforethe LORD.
ifhis sinwhichhe has committedis madeknownto him, he shall bringfor his offeringa goat,a malewithoutdefect.
ifthe anointedpriestsinsso as to bringguilton the people,then let him offerto the LORDa bullwithoutdefectas a sinofferingfor the sinhe has committed.
But ifhe bringsa lambas his offeringfor a sinoffering,he shall bringit, a femalewithoutdefect.
"Ifa personactsunfaithfullyand sinsunintentionallyagainstthe LORD'Sholythings,then he shall bringhis guiltofferingto the LORD:a ramwithoutdefectfrom the flock,according to your valuationin silverby shekels,in [terms of] the shekelof the sanctuary,for a guiltoffering.
"He is then to bringto the priesta ramwithoutdefectfrom the flock,according to your valuation,for a guiltoffering.So the priestshall makeatonementfor him concerninghis errorin whichhe sinnedunintentionallyand did not know[it], and it will be forgivenhim.
"Whena personsinsand actsunfaithfullyagainst the LORD,and deceiveshis companionin regard to a depositora securityentrusted[to him], orthrough robbery,or[if] he has extortedfrom his companion,
Then the LORDspoketo Moses,saying,
But ifthe sacrificeof his offeringis a votiveora freewilloffering,it shall be eatenon the daythat he offershis sacrifice,and on the nextdaywhat is leftof it may be eaten;
Then he presentedthe ramof the burntoffering,and Aaronand his sonslaidtheir handson the headof the ram.
After he had washedthe entrailsand the legswith water,Mosesofferedup the wholeramin smokeon the altar.It was a burntofferingfor a soothingaroma;it was an offeringby fireto the LORD,justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
and he saidto Aaron,"Takefor yourself a calf,a bull,for a sinofferingand a ramfor a burntoffering,[both] withoutdefect,and offer[them] beforethe LORD.
"Awake,O sword,againstMy Shepherd,And againstthe man,My Associate,"Declaresthe LORDof hosts."Strikethe Shepherdthat the sheepmay be scattered;And I will turnMy handagainstthe littleones.
"But cursedbe the swindlerwho hasa malein his flockand vowsit, but sacrificesa blemishedanimalto the Lord,for I am a greatKing,"saysthe LORDof hosts,"and My nameis fearedamong the nations."
then makean offeringby fireto the LORD,a burntofferingora sacrificeto fulfilla specialvow,oras a freewillofferingorin your appointedtimes,to makea soothingaromato the LORD,from the herdorfrom the flock.
Whenyou preparea bullas a burntofferingora sacrifice,to fulfilla specialvow,orfor peaceofferingsto the LORD,
"Thisis the statuteof the lawwhichthe LORDhas commanded,saying,'Speakto the sonsof Israelthat they bringyou an unblemishedredheiferin whichis nodefect[and] on whicha yokehas neverbeen placed.
"Godis not a man,that He should lie,Nora sonof man,that He should repent;Has He said,and will He not doit? Or has He spoken,and will He not makeit good?
Then Balaksaidto Balaam,"Pleasecome,I will takeyou to anotherplace;perhapsit will be agreeablewith Godthat you cursethem for me from there."
Then Balaamsaidto Balak,"Standbesideyour burntoffering,and I will go;perhapsthe LORDwill cometo meetme, and whateverHe showsme I will tellyou." So he wentto a barehill.
Balakdidjustas Balaamhad said,and offeredup a bulland a ramon [each] altar.
Then at the beginningof each of your monthsyou shall presenta burntofferingto the LORD:twobullsand oneram,sevenmalelambsone yearoldwithoutdefect;
You shall presentan offeringby fire,a burntofferingto the LORD:twobullsand oneramand sevenmalelambsone yearold,havingthem withoutdefect.
Besidesthe continualburntofferingand its grain offering,you shall present[them] with their drinkofferings.They shall be withoutdefect.
You shall presenta burntoffering,an offeringby fireas a soothingaromato the LORD:thirteenbulls,tworams,fourteenmalelambsone yearold,which are withoutdefect;
You shall offera burntofferingas a soothingaromato the LORD:onebull,oneram,[and] sevenmalelambsone yearoldwithoutdefect;
The angelansweredand saidto her, "The HolySpiritwill comeupon you, and the powerof the Most Highwill overshadowyou; and for that reasonthe holyChildshall be calledthe Sonof God.
and he lookedat Jesusas He walked,and said,"Behold,the Lambof God!"
SoJesussaidto them again,"Truly,truly,I sayto you, I amthe doorof the sheep.
"I amthe door;ifanyoneentersthroughMe, he will be saved,and will goin and out and findpasture.
For ifthe readinessis present,it is acceptableaccordingto what [a person] has,not accordingto what he does not have.
Each one[must do] justas he has purposedin his heart,not grudginglyorundercompulsion,for Godlovesa cheerfulgiver.
for throughHim we bothhaveour accessin oneSpiritto the Father.
that He might presentto Himselfthe churchin all her glory,havingnospotorwrinkleoranysuch thing;but that she would be holyand blameless.
"And you shall offeryour burntofferings,the fleshand the blood,on the altarof the LORDyour God;and the bloodof your sacrificesshall be pouredout on the altarof the LORDyour God,and you shall eatthe flesh.
"But ifit hasany defect,[such as] lamenessorblindness,[or] anyseriousdefect,you shall not sacrificeit to the LORDyour God.
"You shall not sacrificeto the LORDyour Godan oxor a sheepwhichhasa blemish[or] anydefect,for that is a detestablethingto the LORDyour God.
For it was fittingfor us to have sucha high priest,holy,innocent,undefiled,separatedfrom sinnersand exaltedabove the heavens;
how muchmorewill the bloodof Christ,whothroughthe eternalSpiritofferedHimselfwithout blemishto God,cleanseyour consciencefrom deadworksto servethe livingGod?
