ThenHe pouredwaterinto the basin,and beganto washthe disciples'feetand to wipethem with the towelwith whichHe was girded.
"Pleaselet a littlewaterbe broughtand washyour feet,and restyourselvesunderthe tree;
And he said,"Nowbehold,my lords,pleaseturnasideinto your servant'shouse,and spendthe night,and washyour feet;then you may riseearlyand goon your way."They saidhowever, "No,but we shall spendthe nightin the square."
Then the manbroughtthe meninto Joseph'shouseand gavethem water,and they washedtheir feet;and he gavetheir donkeysfodder.
But Jehoshaphatsaid,"Is therenot a prophetof the LORDhere,that we may inquireof the LORDby him?" And oneof the kingof Israel'sservantsansweredand said,"Elishathe sonof Shaphatis here,whoused to pourwateron the handsof Elijah."
Washme thoroughlyfrom my iniquityAnd cleanseme from my sin.
"Then you shall bringAaronand his sonsto the doorwayof the tentof meetingand washthem with water.
"Washyourselves, makeyourselves clean;Removethe evilof your deedsfrom My sight.Ceaseto do evil,
"Then I will sprinklecleanwateron you, and you will be clean;I will cleanseyou from allyour filthinessand from allyour idols.
"The one to be cleansedshall then washhis clothesand shaveoffallhis hairand bathein waterand be clean.Now afterward,he may enterthe camp,but he shall stayoutsidehis tentfor sevendays.
"In that daya fountainwill be openedfor the houseof Davidand for the inhabitantsof Jerusalem,for sinand for impurity.
and standingbehind[Him] at His feet,weeping,she beganto wetHis feetwith her tears,and kept wipingthem with the hairof her head,and kissingHis feetand anointingthem with the perfume.
Turningtowardthe woman,He saidto Simon,"Do you seethiswoman?I enteredyour house;you gaveMe nowaterfor My feet,but she has wetMy feetwith her tearsand wipedthem with her hair.
Jesussaidto him, "He who has bathedneedsonlyto washhis feet,but is completelyclean;and you are clean,but not all[of you]."
SoHe cameto SimonPeter.He saidto Him, "Lord,do You washmy feet?"
Petersaidto Him, "Nevershall You washmy feet!"Jesusansweredhim, "IfI do not washyou, you havenopartwith Me."
But oneof the soldierspiercedHis sidewith a spear,and immediatelybloodand watercameout.
Nowwhydo you delay?Getup and be baptized,and wash awayyour sins,callingon His name.'
Suchwere someof you; but you were washed,but you were sanctified,but you were justifiedin the nameof the LordJesusChristand in the Spiritof our God.
sothat He might sanctifyher, having cleansedher by the washingof waterwith the word,
having a reputationfor goodworks;[and] ifshe has brought up children,ifshe has shown hospitality to strangers,ifshe has washedthe saints'feet,ifshe has assistedthose in distress,[and] ifshe has devoted herselfto everygoodwork.
let us draw nearwith a sincereheartin full assuranceof faith,having our heartssprinkled[clean] from an evilconscienceand our bodieswashedwith purewater.
but ifwe walkin the Lightas He Himselfis in the Light,we havefellowshipwith one another,and the bloodof JesusHis Soncleansesus from allsin.
Thisis the One who cameby waterand blood,JesusChrist;not with the wateronly,but with the waterand with the blood.It is the Spiritwho testifies,becausethe Spiritis the truth.
and from JesusChrist,the faithfulwitness,the firstbornof the dead,and the rulerof the kingsof the earth.To Him who lovesus and releasedus from our sinsby His blood--
I saidto him, "My lord,you know."And he saidto me, "Theseare the ones who comeout of the greattribulation,and they have washedtheir robesand made them whitein the bloodof the Lamb.
So he tookhim into his houseand gavethe donkeysfodder,and they washedtheir feetand ateand drank.
She aroseand bowedwith her faceto the groundand said,"Behold,your maidservantis a maidto washthe feetof my lord'sservants."
