Ascribeto the LORDthe glorydue His name;Bringan offering,and comebeforeHim; Worshipthe LORDin holyarray.
Now the leadersof the peoplelivedin Jerusalem,but the restof the peoplecastlotsto bringoneout of tento livein Jerusalem,the holycity,while nine-tenths[remained] in the [other] cities.
Your peoplewill volunteerfreelyin the dayof Your power;In holyarray,from the wombof the dawn,Your youthare to You [as] the dew.
"You shall makeholygarmentsfor Aaronyour brother,for gloryand for beauty.
"For Aaron'ssonsyou shall maketunics;you shall also makesashesfor them, and you shall makecapsfor them, for gloryand for beauty.
Howthe faithfulcityhas becomea harlot,She [who] was fullof justice!Righteousnessonce lodgedin her, But nowmurderers.
"Then I will restoreyour judgesas at the first,And your counselorsas at the beginning;Afterthat you will be calledthe cityof righteousness,A faithfulcity."
"Openthe gates,that the righteousnationmay enter,The one that remainsfaithful.
A highwaywill be there,a roadway,And it will be calledthe Highwayof Holiness.The uncleanwill not travelon it, But it [will] be for him who walks[that] way,And foolswill not wander[on it].
It will comeabout that he who is leftin Zionand remainsin Jerusalemwill be calledholy--everyonewho is recordedfor lifein Jerusalem.
"For they callthemselves afterthe holycityAnd leanon the Godof Israel;The LORDof hostsis His name.
"Liftup your eyesand lookaround;Allof them gathertogether, they cometo you. As I live,"declaresthe LORD,"You will surelyputon allof them as jewelsand bindthem on as a bride.
Rouseyourself!Rouseyourself!Arise,O Jerusalem,You whohave drunkfrom the LORD'Shandthe cupof His anger;The chaliceof reelingyou have drainedto the dregs.
Awake,awake,puton strength,O armof the LORD;Awakeas in the daysof old,the generationsof longago.Was it not You who cutRahabin pieces,Who piercedthe dragon?
"Arise,shine;for your lighthas come,And the gloryof the LORDhas risenupon you.
"Then allyour people[will be] righteous;They will possessthe landforever,The branchof My planting,The workof My hands,That I may be glorified.
I will rejoicegreatlyin the LORD,My soulwill exultin my God;For He has clothedme with garmentsof salvation,He has wrappedme with a robeof righteousness,As a bridegroomdeckshimself with a garland,And as a brideadornsherself with her jewels.
To grantthose who mourn[in] Zion,Givingthem a garlandinsteadof ashes,The oilof gladnessinsteadof mourning,The mantleof praiseinsteadof a spiritof fainting.So they will be calledoaksof righteousness,The plantingof the LORD,that He may be glorified.
Your holycitieshave becomea wilderness,Zionhas becomea wilderness,Jerusalema desolation.
Thussaysthe LORDof hosts,the Godof Israel,"Once againthey will speakthiswordin the landof Judahand in its citieswhen I restoretheir fortunes,'The LORDblessyou, O abodeof righteousness,O holyhill!'
Thussaysthe LordGOD,"Noforeigneruncircumcisedin heartand uncircumcisedin flesh,of allthe foreignerswhoare amongthe sonsof Israel,shall enterMy sanctuary.
But I heardthe soundof his words;and as soon as I heardthe soundof his words,I fellinto a deepsleepon my face,with my faceto the ground.
Then you will knowthat I am the LORDyour God,Dwellingin Zion,My holymountain.So Jerusalemwill be holy,And strangerswill passthrough it nomore.
Behold,on the mountainsthe feetof him who bringsgood news,Who announcespeace!Celebrateyour feasts,O Judah;Payyour vows.For neveragainwill the wickedone passthrough you; He is cutoffcompletely.
But nowtakecourage,Zerubbabel,'declaresthe LORD,'takecouragealso, Joshuasonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,and allyou peopleof the landtakecourage,'declaresthe LORD,'and work;for I am with you,' declaresthe LORDof hosts.
He spokeand saidto those who were standingbeforehim, saying,"Removethe filthygarmentsfrom him." Again he saidto him, "See,I have takenyour iniquityawayfrom you and will clotheyou with festalrobes."
Thenthe deviltookHim into the holycityand had Him standon the pinnacleof the temple,
"But the fathersaidto his slaves,'Quicklybringout the bestrobeand putit on him, and puta ringon his handand sandalson his feet;
But puton the LordJesusChrist,and makenoprovisionfor the fleshin regardto [its] lusts.
even[the] righteousnessof Godthroughfaithin JesusChristfor allthosewho believe;for there is nodistinction;
and puton the newself,which in [the likeness of] Godhas been createdin righteousnessand holinessof the truth.
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
Finally,be strongin the Lordand in the strengthof His might.
"Leaveout the courtwhich is outsidethe templeand do not measureit, for it has been givento the nations;and they will tread under footthe holycityfor forty-twomonths.
And the armieswhich are in heaven,clothedin fine linen,white[and] clean,were followingHim on whitehorses.
It was givento her to clotheherself in finelinen,bright[and] clean;for the fine linenis the righteous actsof the saints.
And I sawthe holycity,newJerusalem,coming downout of heavenfrom God,made readyas a brideadornedfor her husband.
and nothingunclean,and noone who practicesabominationand lying,shall evercomeinto it, but onlythosewhose names are writtenin the Lamb'sbookof life.
