"ThussaysCyruskingof Persia,'The LORD,the Godof heaven,has givenme allthe kingdomsof the earthand He has appointedme to buildHim a housein Jerusalem,whichis in Judah.
"But He is uniqueand whocan turnHim? And [what] His souldesires,that He does.

For the wrathof manshall praiseYou; With a remnantof wrathYou will girdYourself.
So it will be that whenthe Lordhas completedallHis workon MountZionand on Jerusalem,[He will say], "I will punishthe fruitof the arrogantheartof the kingof Assyriaand the pompof his haughtiness."
They will be lefttogetherfor mountainbirdsof prey,And for the beastsof the earth;And the birdsof preywill spendthe summer[feeding] on them, And allthe beastsof the earthwill spendharvesttimeon them.
"In that day,"declaresthe LORDof hosts,"the pegdrivenin a firmplacewill giveway;it will even breakoffand fall,and the loadhanging on it will be cutoff,for the LORDhas spoken."
O LORD,You are my God;I will exaltYou, I will givethanksto Your name;For You have workedwonders,Plans[formed] longago,with perfectfaithfulness.
"Have you not heard?LongagoI didit, From ancienttimesI plannedit. NowI have broughtit to pass,That you should turnfortifiedcitiesinto ruinousheaps.
"Whatshall I say?For He has spokento me, and He Himselfhas doneit; I will wanderabout allmy yearsbecauseof the bitternessof my soul.
"Whohas arousedone from the eastWhom He callsin righteousnessto His feet?He deliversup nationsbeforehim And subdueskings.He makesthem like dustwith his sword,As the wind-driven chaffwith his bow.
"I have arousedone from the north,and he has come;From the risingof the sunhe will callon My name;And he will comeupon rulersas [upon] mortar,Even as the pottertreadsclay."
"[It is I] who saysof Cyrus,'[He is] My shepherd!And he will performallMy desire.'And he declaresof Jerusalem,She will be built,'And of the temple,Your foundationwill be laid.'"

Allyou beastsof the field,Allyou beastsin the forest,Cometo eat.
Those whoescapethe swordwill returnout of the landof Egyptto the landof Judahfewin number.Then allthe remnantof Judahwho have goneto the landof Egyptto residetherewill knowwhosewordwill stand,Mineor theirs.
"SummonmanyagainstBabylon,Allthose who bendthe bow:Encampagainsther on everyside,Let there be noescape. Repayher according to her work;According to allthat she has done,[so] doto her; For she has becomearrogantagainstthe LORD,Againstthe HolyOneof Israel.
"Behold,one will comeup like a lionfrom the thicketof the Jordanto a perenniallywatered pasture;for in an instantI will make them runawayfrom it, and whoeveris chosenI will appointoverit. For whois likeMe, and whowill summonMe [into court]? And whothenis the shepherdwhocan standbeforeMe?"
Thereforehearthe planof the LORDwhichHe has plannedagainstBabylon,and His purposeswhichHe has purposedagainstthe landof the Chaldeans:surelythey will dragthem off,[even] the littleonesof the flock;surelyHe will maketheir pasturedesolatebecauseof them.
"You will fallon the mountainsof Israel,you and allyour troopsand the peopleswhoare with you; I will giveyou as foodto everykindof predatorybirdand beastof the field.
"Godis not a man,that He should lie,Nora sonof man,that He should repent;Has He said,and will He not doit? Or has He spoken,and will He not makeit good?
to dowhateverYour handand Your purposepredestinedto occur.
but ifit is of God,you will not be ableto overthrowthem; or elseyou may evenbe foundfighting against God."
alsowe have obtained an inheritance,having been predestinedaccordingto His purposewho worksall thingsafterthe counselof His will,
