Then the LORDGodformedmanof dustfrom the ground,and breathedinto his nostrilsthe breathof life;and manbecamea livingbeing.
Godcreatedmanin His own image,in the imageof GodHe createdhim; maleand femaleHe createdthem.
But a mistused to risefrom the earthand waterthe wholesurfaceof the ground.
By the sweatof your faceYou will eatbread,Tillyou returnto the ground,Becausefrom it you were taken;For you are dust,And to dustyou shall return."
therefore the LORDGodsenthim out from the gardenof Eden,to cultivatethe groundfrom whichhe was taken.
of allthat was on the dryland,allin whosenostrilswas the breathof the spiritof life,died.
For as longas lifeis in me, And the breathof Godis in my nostrils,
"The Spiritof Godhas mademe, And the breathof the Almightygivesme life.
"Behold,I belong to Godlike you; I toohave been formedout of the clay.
Howmuchmorethose who dwellin housesof clay,Whosefoundationis in the dust,Who are crushedbeforethe moth!
Knowthat the LORDHimselfis God;It is He who has madeus, and not we ourselves;[We are] His peopleand the sheepof His pasture.
For He Himselfknowsour frame;He is mindfulthat we are [but] dust.
The spiritof manis the lampof the LORD,Searchingallthe innermostpartsof his being.
then the dustwill returnto the earthas it was, and the spiritwill returnto Godwhogaveit.
A timeto tearapartand a timeto sewtogether;A timeto be silentand a timeto speak.
Stopregardingman,whosebreath[of life] is in his nostrils;For whyshould he be esteemed?
But now,O LORD,You are our Father,We are the clay,and You our potter;And allof us are the workof Your hand.
The breathof our nostrils,the LORD'Sanointed,Was capturedin their pits,Of whomwe had said,"Under his shadowWe shall liveamong the nations."
"Thussaysthe LordGODto thesebones,'Behold,I will cause breathto enteryou that you may cometo life.
I will putsinewson you, make fleshgrowbackon you, coveryou with skinand putbreathin you that you may comealive;and you will knowthat I am the LORD.'"
The burdenof the wordof the LORDconcerningIsrael.[Thus] declaresthe LORDwho stretchesout the heavens,laysthe foundationof the earth,and formsthe spiritof manwithinhim,
But they fellon their facesand said,"O God,Godof the spiritsof allflesh,when onemansins,will You be angrywith the entirecongregation?"
"May the LORD,the Godof the spiritsof allflesh,appointa manoverthe congregation,
And when He had saidthis,He breathedon them and saidto them, "Receivethe HolySpirit.
noris He servedby humanhands,as though He neededanything,since He Himselfgivesto all[people] lifeand breathand all things;
On the contrary,whoare you, Oman,who answers backto God?The thing moldedwill not sayto the molder,"Whydid you makeme like this,"will it?
Soalsoit is written,"The firstMAN,Adam,BECAMEA LIVINGSOUL."The lastAdam[became] a life-givingspirit.
The firstmanis from the earth,earthy;the secondmanis from heaven.
But we havethistreasurein earthenvessels,sothat the surpassing greatnessof the powerwill be of Godand not from ourselves;
For we knowthat ifthe earthlytentwhich is our houseis torn down,we havea buildingfrom God,a housenot made with hands,eternalin the heavens.
For it was Adamwho was firstcreated,[and] thenEve.
Furthermore,we hadearthlyfathersto disciplineus, and we respectedthem; shall we not muchratherbe subjectto the Fatherof spirits,and live?
