"But now,ifYou will, forgivetheir sin--and ifnot, pleaseblotme out from Your bookwhichYou have written!"
The kingwas deeplymovedand wentup to the chamberoverthe gateand wept.And thushe saidas he walked,"O my sonAbsalom,my son,my sonAbsalom!WouldI had diedinsteadof you, O Absalom,my son,my son!"
Your eyeshave seenmy unformedsubstance;And in Your bookwere allwrittenThe daysthat were ordained[for me], When as yet there was not oneof them.
You have takenaccountof my wanderings;Putmy tearsin Your bottle.Are [they] not in Your book?
May they be blottedout of the bookof lifeAnd may they not be recordedwith the righteous.
"Nowthen letMe alone,that My angermay burnagainst them and that I may destroythem; and I will makeof you a greatnation."
It will comeabout that he who is leftin Zionand remainsin Jerusalemwill be calledholy--everyonewho is recordedfor lifein Jerusalem.
"So My handwill be againstthe prophetswho seefalse~visionsand utterlyingdivinations.They will havenoplacein the councilof My people,norwill they be writtendownin the registerof the houseof Israel,norwill they enterthe landof Israel,that you may knowthat I am the LordGOD.
"Now at that timeMichael,the greatprincewho stands[guard] overthe sonsof your people,will arise.And there will be a timeof distresssuchas neveroccurredsincethere was a nationuntilthat time;and at that timeyour people,everyonewho is foundwrittenin the book,will be rescued.
And it cameabout, whenit had finishedeatingthe vegetationof the land,that I said,"LordGOD,pleasepardon!Howcan Jacobstand,For he is small?"
Thenthose who fearedthe LORDspoketo oneanother,and the LORDgaveattentionand heard[it], and a bookof remembrancewas writtenbeforeHim for those who fearthe LORDand who esteemHis name.
"They will be Mine," saysthe LORDof hosts,"on the daythat I prepare[My] own possession,and I will sparethem as a manspareshis own sonwho serveshim."
"So ifYou are going to dealthuswith me, pleasekillme at once,ifI have foundfavorin Your sight,and do not let me seemy wretchedness."
Then the LORDcamedownin the cloudand spoketo him; and He tookof the Spiritwhowas upon him and placed[Him] upon the seventyelders.And when the Spiritrestedupon them, they prophesied.But they did not do[it] again.
"Pardon,I pray,the iniquityof thispeopleaccording to the greatnessof Your lovingkindness,justas You also have forgiventhispeople,from Egypteven untilnow."
"Neverthelessdo not rejoicein this,that the spiritsare subjectto you, but rejoicethat your namesare recordedin heaven."
But Jesuswas saying,"Father,forgivethem; for they do not knowwhatthey are doing."And they castlots,dividingup His garmentsamongthemselves.
For I could wishthat I myselfwere accursed,[separated] from Christfor the sakeof my brethren,my kinsmenaccordingto the flesh,
"Therefore it shall comeabout when the LORDyour Godhas givenyou restfrom allyour surroundingenemies,in the landwhichthe LORDyour Godgivesyou as an inheritanceto possess,you shall blotout the memoryof Amalekfrom underheaven;you must not forget.
"The LORDshall neverbe willingto forgivehim, but ratherthe angerof the LORDand His jealousywill burnagainst that man,and everycursewhich is writtenin thisbookwill reston him, and the LORDwill blotout his namefrom underheaven.
LetMe alone,that I may destroythem and blotout their namefrom underheaven;and I will makeof you a nationmightierand greaterthanthey.'
Indeed,true companion,I askyou alsoto helpthesewomenwhohave shared my strugglein [the cause of] the gospel,togetherwith Clementalsoand the restof my fellow workers,whosenamesare in the bookof life.
"The beastthat you sawwas, and is not, and is aboutto comeup out of the abyssand goto destruction.And thosewho dwellon the earth,whosenamehas not been writtenin the bookof lifefrom the foundationof the world,will wonderwhen they seethe beast,that he was and is not and will come.
and nothingunclean,and noone who practicesabominationand lying,shall evercomeinto it, but onlythosewhose names are writtenin the Lamb'sbookof life.
and ifanyonetakesawayfrom the wordsof the bookof thisprophecy,Godwill take awayhis partfrom the treeof lifeand from the holycity,which are writtenin thisbook.
He who overcomeswill thusbe clothedin whitegarments;and I will not erasehis namefrom the bookof life,and I will confesshis namebeforeMy Fatherand beforeHis angels.
