Now Joshuathe sonof Nunwas filledwith the spiritof wisdom,for Moseshad laidhis handson him; and the sonsof Israellistenedto him and didas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
behold,I have doneaccording to your words.Behold,I have givenyou a wiseand discerningheart,sothat there has beennoone likeyou beforeyou, norshall one likeyou ariseafteryou.
"So giveYour servantan understandingheartto judgeYour peopleto discernbetweengoodand evil.For whois ableto judgethisgreatpeopleof Yours?"
Now when the sonsof the prophetswho[were] at Jerichoopposite[him] sawhim, they said,"The spiritof Elijahrestson Elisha."And they cameto meethim and bowedthemselves to the groundbefore him.
When they had crossedover,Elijahsaidto Elisha,"AskwhatI shall dofor you beforeI am takenfrom you." And Elishasaid,"Please,let a doubleportionof your spiritbe upon me."
Then Solomonsaton the throneof the LORDas kinginsteadof Davidhis father;and he prospered,and allIsraelobeyedhim.
Then the sonsof Israelwentand did[so]; justas the LORDhad commandedMosesand Aaron,sothey did.
"You shall speakto allthe skillfulpersonswhomI have endowedwith the spiritof wisdom,that they makeAaron'sgarmentsto consecratehim, that he may ministeras priestto Me.
"I have filledhim with the Spiritof Godin wisdom,in understanding,in knowledge,and in all[kinds of] craftsmanship,
The Spiritof the LORDwill reston Him, The spiritof wisdomand understanding,The spiritof counseland strength,The spiritof knowledgeand the fearof the LORD.
ThenthisDanielbegan distinguishinghimself amongthe commissionersand satrapsbecausehe possessed an extraordinaryspirit,and the kingplannedto appointhim overthe entirekingdom.
"Then I will comedownand speakwith you there,and I will takeof the Spiritwhois upon you, and will put[Him] upon them; and they shall bearthe burdenof the peoplewith you, so that you will not bear[it] all alone.
"For He whomGodhas sentspeaksthe wordsof God;for He givesthe Spiritwithoutmeasure.
And thesethey broughtbeforethe apostles;and after praying,they laidtheir handson them.
So the sonsof Israelweptfor Mosesin the plainsof Moabthirtydays;then the daysof weeping[and] mourningfor Mosescameto an end.
in whomare hiddenallthe treasuresof wisdomand knowledge.
Do not neglectthe spiritual giftwithinyou, whichwas bestowedon you throughprophetic utterancewith the layingon of handsby the presbytery.
Do not layhandsupon anyone[too] hastilyand therebyshare[responsibility for] the sinsof others;keepyourselffree from sin.
