Judahand Israel[were] as numerousas the sandthat is on the seashorein abundance;[they] were eatingand drinkingand rejoicing.
So Judahand Israellivedin safety,everymanunderhis vineand his figtree,from Daneven to Beersheba,allthe daysof Solomon.
Now KingSolomonleviedforcedlaborersfrom allIsrael;and the forcedlaborersnumbered30000men.
Now Solomonhad70000transporters,and 80,000hewers[of stone] in the mountains,
But Solomondid not makeslavesof the sonsof Israel;for they were menof war,his servants,his princes,his captains,his chariotcommanders,and his horsemen.
So they sentand summonedhim. When Jeroboamand allIsraelcame,they spoketo Rehoboam,saying,
He saidto them, "Returnto me againin threedays."So the peopledeparted.
Now it cameabout in [the course of] thosemanydaysthat the kingof Egyptdied.And the sonsof Israelsighedbecauseof the bondage,and they criedout; and their cryfor helpbecauseof [their] bondageroseup to God.
"I was angrywith My people,I profanedMy heritageAnd gavethem into your hand.You did not showmercyto them, On the agedyou madeyour yokeveryheavy.
"They tieup heavyburdensand laythem on men'sshoulders,but they themselvesare unwillingto movethem with [so much as] a finger.
For thisis the loveof God,that we keepHis commandments;and His commandmentsare not burdensome.
