² H3414The which JeremiahH5030the prophetH1696spake[H8765] H5971unto all the peopleH3063of JudahH3427, and to all the inhabitants[H8802] H3389of JerusalemH559, saying[H8800] ,

³ H7969From the thirteenthH6240 H8141yearH2977of JosiahH1121the sonH526of AmonH4428kingH3063of JudahH3117, even unto this dayH7969, that is the threeH6242and twentiethH8141yearH1697, the wordH3068of the LORDH1696hath come unto me, and I have spoken[H8762] H7925unto you, rising early[H8687] H1696and speaking[H8763] H8085; but ye have not hearkened[H8804] .

⁴ H3068And the LORDH7971hath sent[H8804] H5650unto you all his servantsH5030the prophetsH7925, rising early[H8687] H7971and sending[H8800] H8085them; but ye have not hearkened[H8804] H5186, nor inclined[H8689] H241your earH8085to hear[H8800] .

⁵ H559They said[H8800] H7725, Turn ye again[H8798] H376now every oneH7451from his evilH1870wayH7455, and from the evilH4611of your doingsH3427, and dwell[H8798] H127in the landH3068that the LORDH5414hath given[H8804] H1unto you and to your fathersH5704forH5769everH5769and ever:

⁶ H3212And go[H8799] H310not afterH312otherH430godsH5647to serve[H8800] H7812them, and to worship[H8692] H3707them, and provoke me not to anger[H8686] H4639with the worksH3027of your handsH7489; and I will do you no hurt[H8686] .

⁷ H8085Yet ye have not hearkened[H8804] H5002unto me, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH3707; that ye might provoke me to anger[H8687] H4639with the worksH3027of your handsH7451to your own hurt.

⁸ H559Therefore thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH8085; Because ye have not heard[H8804] H1697my words,

⁹ H7971Behold, I will send[H8802] H3947and take[H8804] H4940all the familiesH6828of the northH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH5019, and NebuchadrezzarH4428the kingH894of BabylonH5650, my servantH935, and will bring[H8689] H776them against this landH3427, and against the inhabitants[H8802] H1471thereof, and against all these nationsH5439round aboutH2763, and will utterly destroy[H8689] H7760them, and make[H8804] H8047them an astonishmentH8322, and an hissingH5769, and perpetualH2723desolations.

¹⁰ H6Moreover I will take[H8689] H6963from them the voiceH8342of mirthH6963, and the voiceH8057of gladnessH6963, the voiceH2860of the bridegroomH6963, and the voiceH3618of the brideH6963, the soundH7347of the millstonesH216, and the lightH5216of the candle.

¹¹ H776And this whole landH2723shall be a desolationH8047, and an astonishmentH1471; and these nationsH5647shall serve[H8804] H4428the kingH894of BabylonH7657seventyH8141years.

¹² H7657And it shall come to pass, when seventyH8141yearsH4390are accomplished[H8800] H6485, that I will punish[H8799] H4428the kingH894of BabylonH1471, and that nationH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH5771, for their iniquityH776, and the landH3778of the ChaldeansH7760, and will make[H8804] H5769it perpetualH8077desolations.

¹³ H935And I will bring[H8689] H776upon that landH1697all my wordsH1696which I have pronounced[H8765] H3789against it, even all that is written[H8803] H5612in this bookH3414, which JeremiahH5012hath prophesied[H8738] H1471against all the nations.

¹⁴ H7227For manyH1471nationsH1419and greatH4428kingsH5647shall serve[H8804] H7999themselves of them also: and I will recompense[H8765] H6467them according to their deedsH4639, and according to the worksH3027of their own hands.

¹⁵ H559For thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH430GodH3478of IsraelH3947unto me; Take[H8798] H3196the wineH3563cupH2534of this furyH3027at my handH1471, and cause all the nationsH7971, to whom I send[H8802] H8248thee, to drink[H8689]  it.

¹⁶ H8354And they shall drink[H8804] H1607, and be moved[H8707] H1984, and be mad[H8703] H6440, becauseH2719of the swordH7971that I will send[H8802]  among them.

¹⁷ H3947Then took[H8799] H3563I the cupH3068at the LORD'SH3027handH1471, and made all the nationsH8248to drink[H8686] H3068, unto whom the LORDH7971had sent[H8804]  me:

¹⁸ H3389To wit, JerusalemH5892, and the citiesH3063of JudahH4428, and the kingsH8269thereof, and the princesH5414thereof, to make[H8800] H2723them a desolationH8047, an astonishmentH8322, an hissingH7045, and a curseH3117; as it is this day;

²³ H1719DedanH8485, and TemaH938, and BuzH7112, and all that are in the utmost[H8803] H6285corners,

²⁴ H4428And all the kingsH6152of ArabiaH4428, and all the kingsH6153of the mingled peopleH7931that dwell[H8802] H4057in the desert,

²⁵ H4428And all the kingsH2174of ZimriH4428, and all the kingsH5867of ElamH4428, and all the kingsH4074of the Medes,

²⁶ H4428And all the kingsH6828of the northH7350, farH7138and nearH376, oneH251with anotherH4467, and all the kingdomsH776of the worldH6440, which are upon the faceH127of the earthH4428: and the kingH8347of SheshachH8354shall drink[H8799] H310after them.

²⁷ H559Therefore thou shalt say[H8804] H559unto them, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH430, the GodH3478of IsraelH8354; Drink[H8798] H7937ye, and be drunken[H8798] H7006, and spue[H8798] H5307, and fall[H8798] H6965, and rise[H8799] H6440no more, becauseH2719of the swordH7971which I will send[H8802]  among you.

²⁸ H3985And it shall be, if they refuse[H8762] H3947to take[H8800] H3563the cupH3027at thine handH8354to drink[H8800] H559, then shalt thou say[H8804] H559unto them, Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH8354; Ye shall certainly[H8800] H8354drink[H8799] .

²⁹ H2490For, lo, I begin[H8688] H7489to bring evil[H8687] H5892on the cityH7121which is called[H8738] H8034by my nameH5352, and should ye be utterly[H8736] H5352unpunished[H8735] H5352? Ye shall not be unpunished[H8736] H7121: for I will call[H8802] H2719for a swordH3427upon all the inhabitants[H8802] H776of the earthH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORDH6635of hosts.

³¹ H7588A noiseH935shall come[H8804] H7097even to the endsH776of the earthH3068; for the LORDH7379hath a controversyH1471with the nationsH8199, he will plead[H8737] H1320with all fleshH5414; he will give[H8804] H7563them that are wickedH2719to the swordH5002, saith[H8803] H3068the LORD.

³² H559Thus saith[H8804] H3068the LORDH6635of hostsH7451, Behold, evilH3318shall go forth[H8802] H1471from nationH1471to nationH1419, and a greatH5591whirlwindH5782shall be raised up[H8735] H3411from the coastsH776of the earth.

³³ H2491And the slainH3068of the LORDH3117shall be at that dayH7097from one endH776of the earthH7097even unto the other endH776of the earthH5594: they shall not be lamented[H8735] H622, neither gathered[H8735] H6912, nor buried[H8735] H1828; they shall be dungH6440uponH127the ground.

³⁴ H3213Howl[H8685] H7462, ye shepherds[H8802] H2199, and cry[H8798] H6428; and wallow[H8690] H117yourselves in the ashes, ye principalH6629of the flockH3117: for the daysH2873of your slaughter[H8800] H8600and of your dispersionsH4390are accomplished[H8804] H5307; and ye shall fall[H8804] H2532like a pleasantH3627vessel.

³⁵ H7462And the shepherds[H8802] H4498shall have no wayH6to flee[H8804] H117, nor the principalH6629of the flockH6413to escape.

³⁶ H6963A voiceH6818of the cryH7462of the shepherds[H8802] H3215, and an howlingH117of the principalH6629of the flockH3068, shall be heard : for the LORDH7703hath spoiled[H8802] H4830their pasture.

³⁷ H7965And the peaceableH4999habitationsH1826are cut down[H8738] H6440becauseH2740of the fierceH639angerH3068of the LORD.

³⁸ H5800He hath forsaken[H8804] H5520his covertH3715, as the lionH776: for their landH8047is desolateH6440becauseH2740of the fiercenessH3238of the oppressor[H8802] H6440, and becauseH2740of his fierceH639anger.
