Isaiah 42 - King James Bible with Strong Numbers

H5650Behold my servantH8551, whom I uphold[H8799] H972; mine electH5315, in whom my soulH7521delighteth[H8804] H5414; I have put[H8804] H7307my spiritH3318upon him: he shall bring forth[H8686] H4941judgmentH1471to the Gentiles.

H6817He shall not cry[H8799] H5375, nor lift up[H8799] H6963, nor cause his voiceH8085to be heard[H8686] H2351in the street.

H7533A bruised[H8803] H7070reedH7665shall he not break[H8799] H3544, and the smokingH6594flaxH3518shall he not quench[H8762] H3318: he shall bring forth[H8686] H4941judgmentH571unto truth.

H3543He shall not fail[H8799] H7533nor be discouraged[H8799] H7760, till he have set[H8799] H4941judgmentH776in the earthH339: and the islesH3176shall wait[H8762] H8451for his law.

H559Thus saith[H8804] H410GodH3068the LORDH1254, he that created[H8802] H8064the heavensH5186, and stretched them out[H8802] H7554; he that spread forth[H8802] H776the earthH6631, and that which cometh outH5414of it; he that giveth[H8802] H5397breathH5971unto the peopleH7307upon it, and spiritH1980to them that walk[H8802]  therein:

H3068I the LORDH7121have called[H8804] H6664thee in righteousnessH2388, and will hold[H8686] H3027thine handH5341, and will keep[H8799] H5414thee, and give[H8799] H1285thee for a covenantH5971of the peopleH216, for a lightH1471of the Gentiles;

H6491To open[H8800] H5787the blindH5869eyesH3318, to bring out[H8687] H616the prisonersH4525from the prisonH3427, and them that sit[H8802] H2822in darknessH3608out of the prisonH1004house.

H3068I am the LORDH8034: that is my nameH3519: and my gloryH5414will I not give[H8799] H312to anotherH8416, neither my praiseH6456to graven images.

H7223Behold, the former thingsH935are come to pass[H8804] H2319, and new thingsH5046do I declare[H8688] H6779: before they spring forth[H8799] H8085I tell[H8686]  you of them.

H7891Sing[H8798] H3068unto the LORDH2319a newH7892songH8416, and his praiseH7097from the endH776of the earthH3381, ye that go down[H8802] H3220to the seaH4393, and all that is thereinH339; the islesH3427, and the inhabitants[H8802]  thereof.

H4057Let the wildernessH5892and the citiesH5375thereof lift up[H8799] H2691their voice, the villagesH6938that KedarH3427doth inhabit[H8799] H3427: let the inhabitants[H8802] H5553of the rockH7442sing[H8799] H6681, let them shout[H8799] H7218from the topH2022of the mountains.

H7760Let them give[H8799] H3519gloryH3068unto the LORDH5046, and declare[H8686] H8416his praiseH339in the islands.

H3068The LORDH3318shall go forth[H8799] H1368as a mighty manH5782, he shall stir up[H8686] H7068jealousyH376like a manH4421of warH7321: he shall cry[H8686] H6873, yea, roar[H8686] H1396; he shall prevail[H8691] H341against his enemies[H8802] .

H5769I have long timeH2814holden my peace[H8689] H2790; I have been still[H8686] H662, and refrained[H8691] H6463myself: now will I cry[H8799] H3205like a travailing woman[H8802] H5395; I will destroy[H8799] [H8676] H8074 [H8799] H7602and devour[H8799] H3162at once.

H2717I will make waste[H8686] H2022mountainsH1389and hillsH3001, and dry up[H8686] H6212all their herbsH7760; and I will make[H8804] H5104the riversH339islandsH3001, and I will dry up[H8686] H98the pools.

H3212And I will bring[H8689] H5787the blindH1870by a wayH3045that they knew[H8804] H1869not; I will lead[H8686] H5410them in pathsH3045that they have not known[H8804] H7760: I will make[H8799] H4285darknessH216lightH6440beforeH4625them, and crooked thingsH4334straightH1697. These thingsH6213will I do[H8804] H5800unto them, and not forsake[H8804]  them.

H5472They shall be turned[H8738] H268backH1322, they shall be greatlyH954ashamed[H8799] H982, that trust[H8802] H6459in graven imagesH559, that say[H8802] H4541to the molten imagesH430, Ye are our gods.

H8085Hear[H8798] H2795, ye deafH5027; and look[H8685] H5787, ye blindH7200, that ye may see[H8800] .

H5787Who is blindH5650, but my servantH2795? or deafH4397, as my messengerH7971that I sent[H8799] H5787? who is blindH7999as he that is perfect[H8794] H5787, and blindH3068as the LORD'SH5650servant?

H7200Seeing[H8800] [H8675] H7200 [H8804] H7227many thingsH8104, but thou observest[H8799] H6491not; opening[H8800] H241the earsH8085, but he heareth[H8799]  not.

H3068The LORDH2654is well pleased[H8804] H6664for his righteousnessH1431' sake; he will magnify[H8686] H8451the lawH142, and make it honourable[H8686] .

H5971But this is a peopleH962robbed[H8803] H8154and spoiled[H8803] H6351; they are all of them snared[H8687] H2352in holes[H8676] H970 H2244, and they are hid[H8717] H3608in prisonH1004housesH957: they are for a preyH5337, and none delivereth[H8688] H4933; for a spoilH559, and none saith[H8802] H7725, Restore[H8685] .

H238Who among you will give ear[H8686] H7181to this? who will hearken[H8686] H8085and hear[H8799] H268for the time to come?

H5414Who gave[H8804] H3290JacobH4933for a spoil[H8675] H4882 H3478, and IsraelH962to the robbers[H8802] H3068? did not the LORDH2098, he against whomH2398we have sinned[H8804] H14? for they would[H8804] H1980not walk[H8800] H1870in his waysH8085, neither were they obedient[H8804] H8451unto his law.

H8210Therefore he hath poured[H8799] H2534upon him the furyH639of his angerH5807, and the strengthH4421of battleH3857: and it hath set him on fire[H8762] H5439round aboutH3045, yet he knew[H8804] H1197not; and it burned[H8799] H7760him, yet he laid[H8799] H3820it not to heart.
