¹ H935And there came[H8799] H8147twoH4397angelsH5467to SodomH6153at evenH3876; and LotH3427sat[H8802] H8179in the gateH5467of SodomH3876: and LotH7200seeing[H8799] H6965them rose up[H8799] H7125to meet[H8800] H7812them; and he bowed[H8691] H639himself with his faceH776toward the ground;

² H559And he said[H8799] H113, Behold now, my lordsH5493, turn in[H8798] H5650, I pray you, into your servant'sH1004houseH3885, and tarry all night[H8798] H7364, and wash[H8798] H7272your feetH7925, and ye shall rise up early[H8689] H1980, and go[H8804] H1870on your waysH559. And they said[H8799] H3885, Nay; but we will abideH7339in the streetH3885all night[H8799] .

³ H6484And he pressed[H8799] H3966upon them greatlyH5493; and they turned in[H8799] H935unto him, and entered[H8799] H1004into his houseH6213; and he made[H8799] H4960them a feastH644, and did bake[H8804] H4682unleavened breadH398, and they did eat[H8799] .

⁴ H7901But before they lay down[H8799] H582, the menH5892of the cityH582, even the menH5467of SodomH5437, compassedH1004the houseH5437round[H8738] H2205, both oldH5288and youngH5971, all the peopleH7097from every quarter:

⁵ H7121And they called[H8799] H3876unto LotH559, and said[H8799] H582unto him, Where are the menH935which came in[H8804] H3915to thee this nightH3318? bring them out[H8685] H3045unto us, that we may know[H8799]  them.

⁶ H3876And LotH3318went out[H8799] H6607at the doorH5462unto them, and shut[H8804] H1817the doorH310after him,

⁷ H559And said[H8799] H251, I pray you, brethrenH7489, do not so wickedly[H8686] .

⁸ H8147Behold now, I have twoH1323daughtersH3045which have not known[H8804] H376manH3318; let me, I pray you, bring them out[H8686] H6213unto you, and do[H8798] H2896ye to them as is goodH5869in your eyesH411: only unto theseH582menH6213do[H8799] H408nothingH1697 H935; for therefore came[H8804] H6738they under the shadowH6982of my roof.

⁹ H559And they said[H8799] H5066, Stand[H8798] H1973backH559. And they said[H8799] H259again, This oneH935fellow came in[H8804] H1481to sojourn[H8800] H8199, and he will needs[H8800] H8199be a judge[H8799] H7489: now will we deal worse[H8686] H6484with thee, than with them. And they pressed[H8799] H3966soreH376upon the manH3876, even LotH5066, and came near[H8799] H7665to break[H8800] H1817the door.

¹⁰ H582But the menH7971put forth[H8799] H3027their handH935, and pulled[H8686] H3876LotH1004into the houseH5462to them, and shut[H8804] H1817to the door.

¹¹ H5221And they smote[H8689] H582the menH6607that were at the doorH1004of the houseH5575with blindnessH6996, both smallH1419and greatH3811: so that they wearied[H8799] H4672themselves to find[H8800] H6607the door.

¹² H582And the menH559said[H8799] H3876unto LotH6311, Hast thou hereH4310anyH2860besides? son in lawH1121, and thy sonsH1323, and thy daughtersH834, and whatsoeverH5892thou hast in the cityH3318, bring them out[H8685] H4725of this place:

¹³ H587For weH7843will destroy[H8688] H853 H4725this placeH6818, because the cry of themH1431is waxen great[H8804] H854beforeH6440the faceH3068of the LORDH3068; and the LORDH7971hath sent[H8762] H7843us to destroy[H8763]  it.

¹⁴ H3876And LotH3318went out[H8799] H1696, and spake[H8762] H2860unto his sons in lawH3947, which married[H8802] H1323his daughtersH559, and said[H8799] H6965, Up[H8798] H3318, get you out[H8798] H4725of this placeH3068; for the LORDH7843will destroy[H8688] H5892this cityH6711. But he seemed as one that mocked[H8764] H5869untoH2860his sons in law.

¹⁵ H3644And whenH7837the morningH5927arose[H8804] H4397, then the angelsH213hastened[H8686] H3876LotH559, saying[H8800] H6965, Arise[H8798] H3947, take[H8798] H802thy wifeH8147, and thy twoH1323daughtersH4672, which are here[H8737] H5595; lest thou be consumed[H8735] H5771in the iniquityH5892of the city.

¹⁶ H4102And while he lingered[H8698] H582, the menH2388laid hold[H8686] H3027upon his handH3027, and upon the handH802of his wifeH3027, and upon the handH8147of his twoH1323daughtersH3068; the LORDH2551being mercifulH3318unto him: and they brought him forth[H8686] H3240, and set him[H8686] H2351withoutH5892the city.

¹⁷ H3318And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth[H8687] H2351abroadH559, that he said[H8799] H4422, Escape[H8734] H5921forH5315thy lifeH5027; look[H8686] H310not behind theeH5975, neither stay[H8799] H3603thou in all the plainH4422; escape[H8734] H2022to the mountainH5595, lest thou be consumed[H8735] .

¹⁸ H3876And LotH559said[H8799] H113unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:

¹⁹ H5650Behold now, thy servantH4672hath found[H8804] H2580graceH5869in thy sightH1431, and thou hast magnified[H8686] H2617thy mercyH6213, which thou hast shewed[H8804] H5978unto meH2421in saving[H8687] H5315my lifeH3201; and I cannot[H8799] H4422escape[H8736] H2022to the mountainH7451, lest some evilH1692take[H8799] H4191me, and I die[H8804] :

²⁰ H5892Behold now, this cityH7138is nearH5127to flee[H8800] H1931unto, and itH4705is a little oneH4422: Oh, let me escape[H8735] H4705thither, ( is it not a little oneH5315?) and my soulH2421shall live[H8799] .

²¹ H559And he said[H8799] H2009unto him, SeeH5375, I have accepted[H8804] H6440theeH1697concerning this thingH2015also, that I will not overthrow[H8800] H5892this cityH834, for the whichH1696thou hast spoken[H8765] .

²² H4116Haste[H8761] H4422thee, escape[H8734] H3201thither; for I cannot[H8799] H6213do[H8800] H1697any thingH935till thou be come[H8800] H8034thither. Therefore the nameH5892of the cityH7121was called[H8804] H6820Zoar.

²³ H8121The sunH3318was risen[H8804] H776upon the earthH3876when LotH935entered[H8804] H6820into Zoar.

²⁴ H3068Then the LORDH4305rained[H8689] H5467upon SodomH6017and upon GomorrahH1614brimstoneH784and fireH3068from the LORDH8064out of heaven;

²⁵ H2015And he overthrew[H8799] H411thoseH5892citiesH3603, and all the plainH3427, and all the inhabitants[H8802] H5892of the citiesH6780, and that which grewH127upon the ground.

²⁶ H802But his wifeH5027looked back[H8686] H310from behind himH5333, and she became a pillarH4417of salt.

²⁷ H85And AbrahamH7925gat up early[H8686] H1242in the morningH4725to the placeH5975where he stood[H8804] H6440beforeH3068the LORD:

²⁸ H8259And he looked[H8686] H6440towardH5467SodomH6017and GomorrahH6440, and towardH776all the landH3603of the plainH7200, and beheld[H8799] H7008, and, lo, the smokeH776of the countryH5927went up[H8804] H7008as the smokeH3536of a furnace.

²⁹ H430And it came to pass, when GodH7843destroyed[H8763] H5892the citiesH3603of the plainH430, that GodH2142remembered[H8799] H85AbrahamH7971, and sent[H8762] H3876LotH8432out of the midstH2018of the overthrowH2015, when he overthrew[H8800] H5892the citiesH2004in the whichH3876LotH3427dwelt[H8804] .

³⁰ H3876And LotH5927went up[H8799] H6820out of ZoarH3427, and dwelt[H8799] H2022in the mountainH8147, and his twoH1323daughtersH3372with him; for he feared[H8804] H3427to dwell[H8800] H6820in ZoarH3427: and he dwelt[H8799] H4631in a caveH8147, he and his twoH1323daughters.

³¹ H1067And the firstbornH559said[H8799] H6810unto the youngerH1, Our fatherH2204is old[H8804] H376, and there is not a manH776in the earthH935to come in[H8800] H1870unto us after the mannerH776of all the earth:

³² H3212Come[H8798] H8248, let us makeH1our fatherH8248drink[H8686] H3196wineH7901, and we will lie[H8799] H2421with him, that we may preserve[H8762] H2233seedH1of our father.

³³ H8248And they madeH1their fatherH8248drink[H8686] H3196wineH3915that nightH1067: and the firstbornH935went in[H8799] H7901, and lay[H8799] H1with her fatherH3045; and he perceived[H8804] H7901not when she lay down[H8800] H6965, nor when she arose[H8800] .

³⁴ H4283And it came to pass on the morrowH1067, that the firstbornH559said[H8799] H6810unto the youngerH7901, Behold, I lay[H8804] H570yesternightH1with my fatherH8248: let us make him drink[H8686] H3196wineH3915this nightH935also; and go thou in[H8798] H7901, and lie[H8798] H2421with him, that we may preserve[H8762] H2233seedH1of our father.

³⁵ H8248And they madeH1their fatherH8248drink[H8686] H3196wineH1931thatH3915nightH6810also: and the youngerH6965arose[H8799] H7901, and lay[H8799] H3045with him; and he perceived[H8804] H7901not when she lay down[H8800] H6965, nor when she arose[H8800] .

³⁶ H8147Thus were bothH1323the daughtersH3876of LotH2029with child[H8799] H1by their father.

³⁷ H1067And the firstbornH3205bare[H8799] H1121a sonH7121, and called[H8799] H8034his nameH4124MoabH1931: the sameH1is the fatherH4124of the MoabitesH3117unto this day.

³⁸ H6810And the youngerH3205, she also bare[H8804] H1121a sonH7121, and called[H8799] H8034his nameH1151BenammiH1: the same is the fatherH1121of the childrenH5983of AmmonH3117unto this day.
