²¹ H7200Behold[H8798] H3068, the LORDH430thy GodH5414hath set[H8804] H776the landH6440beforeH5927thee: go up[H8798] H3423and possess[H8798] H3068it, as the LORDH430GodH1of thy fathersH1696hath said[H8765] H3372unto thee; fear[H8799] H2865not, neither be discouraged[H8735] .

²⁴ H6437And they turned[H8799] H5927and went up[H8799] H2022into the mountainH935, and came[H8799] H5158unto the valleyH812of EshcolH7270, and searched it out[H8762] .

²⁵ H3947And they took[H8799] H6529of the fruitH776of the landH3027in their handsH3381, and brought it down[H8686] H7725unto us, and broughtH1697us wordH7725again[H8686] H559, and said[H8799] H2896, It is a goodH776landH3068which the LORDH430our GodH5414doth give[H8802]  us.

²⁶ H14Notwithstanding ye would[H8804] H5927not go up[H8800] H4784, but rebelled[H8686] H6310against the commandmentH3068of the LORDH430your God:

²⁷ H7279And ye murmured[H8735] H168in your tentsH559, and said[H8799] H3068, Because the LORDH8135hatedH3318us, he hath brought us forth[H8689] H776out of the landH4714of EgyptH5414, to deliver[H8800] H3027us into the handH567of the AmoritesH8045, to destroy[H8687]  us.

²⁸ H5927Whither shall we go up[H8802] H251? our brethrenH4549have discouraged[H8689] H3824our heartH559, saying[H8800] H5971, The peopleH1419is greaterH7311and taller[H8802] H5892than we; the citiesH1419are greatH1219and walled up[H8803] H8064to heavenH7200; and moreover we have seen[H8804] H1121the sonsH6062of the Anakims there.

²⁹ H559Then I said[H8799] H6206unto you, Dread[H8799] H3372not, neither be afraid[H8799]  of them.

³⁰ H3068The LORDH430your GodH1980which goeth[H8802] H6440beforeH3898you, he shall fight[H8735] H6213for you, according to all that he did[H8804] H4714for you in EgyptH5869before your eyes;

³¹ H4057And in the wildernessH7200, where thou hast seen[H8804] H3068how that the LORDH430thy GodH5375bare[H8804] H376thee, as a manH5375doth bear[H8799] H1121his sonH1870, in all the wayH1980that ye went[H8804] H935, until ye came[H8800] H4725into this place.

³² H1697Yet in this thingH539ye did not believe[H8688] H3068the LORDH430your God,

³³ H1980Who went[H8802] H1870in the wayH6440beforeH8446you, to search you out[H8800] H4725a placeH2583to pitch your tents[H8800] H784in, in fireH3915by nightH7200, to shew[H8687] H1870you by what wayH3212ye should go[H8799] H6051, and in a cloudH3119by day.

³⁴ H3068And the LORDH8085heard[H8799] H6963the voiceH1697of your wordsH7107, and was wroth[H8799] H7650, and sware[H8735] H559, saying[H8800] ,

³⁵ H376Surely there shall not oneH582of these menH7451of this evilH1755generationH7200see[H8799] H2896that goodH776landH7650, which I sware[H8738] H5414to give[H8800] H1unto your fathers,

³⁶ H2108SaveH3612CalebH1121the sonH3312of JephunnehH7200; he shall see[H8799] H5414it, and to him will I give[H8799] H776the landH834thatH1869he hath trodden upon[H8804] H1121, and to his childrenH4390, because he hath wholly[H8765] H310followedH3068the LORD.

³⁷ H3068Also the LORDH599was angry[H8694] H1558with me for your sakesH559, saying[H8800] H935, Thou also shalt not go[H8799] H8033in thither.

³⁸ H3091But JoshuaH1121the sonH5126of NunH5975, which standeth[H8802] H6440beforeH935thee, he shall go in[H8799] H2388thither: encourage[H8761] H3478him: for he shall cause IsraelH5157to inherit[H8686]  it.

³⁹ H2945Moreover your little onesH559, which ye said[H8804] H957should be a preyH1121, and your childrenH3117, which in that dayH3045had no knowledge[H8804] H2896between goodH7451and evilH935, they shall go in[H8799] H5414thither, and unto them will I give[H8799] H3423it, and they shall possess[H8799]  it.

⁴⁰ H6437But as for you, turn[H8798] H5265you, and take your journey[H8798] H4057into the wildernessH1870by the wayH5488of the RedH3220sea.

⁴¹ H6030Then ye answered[H8799] H559and said[H8799] H2398unto me, We have sinned[H8804] H3068against the LORDH5927, we will go up[H8799] H3898and fight[H8738] H3068, according to all that the LORDH430our GodH6680commanded[H8765] H2296us. And when ye had girded[H8799] H376on every manH3627his weaponsH4421of warH1951, ye were ready[H8686] H5927to go up[H8800] H2022into the hill.

⁴² H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H559unto me, Say[H8798] H5927unto them, Go not up[H8799] H3898, neither fight[H8735] H7130; for I am not amongH5062you; lest ye be smitten[H8735] H6440beforeH341your enemies[H8802] .

⁴³ H1696So I spake[H8762] H8085unto you; and ye would not hear[H8804] H4784, but rebelled[H8686] H6310against the commandmentH3068of the LORDH5927, and wentH2102presumptuously[H8686] H5927up[H8799] H2022into the hill.

⁴⁴ H567And the AmoritesH3427, which dwelt[H8802] H2022in that mountainH3318, came out[H8799] H7125against[H8800] H7291you, and chased[H8799] H1682you, as beesH6213do[H8799] H3807, and destroyed[H8686] H8165you in SeirH2767, even unto Hormah.

⁴⁵ H7725And ye returned[H8799] H1058and wept[H8799] H6440beforeH3068the LORDH3068; but the LORDH8085would not hearken[H8804] H6963to your voiceH238, nor give ear[H8689]  unto you.

⁴⁶ H3427So ye abode[H8799] H6946in KadeshH7227manyH3117daysH3117, according unto the daysH3427that ye abode[H8804]  there .
