² H7200And I saw[H8799] H2377in a visionH7200; and it came to pass, when I saw[H8800] H7800, that I was at ShushanH1002in the palaceH4082, which is in the provinceH5867of ElamH7200; and I saw[H8799] H2377in a visionH180, and I was by the riverH195of Ulai.

³ H5375Then I lifted up[H8799] H5869mine eyesH7200, and saw[H8799] H5975, and, behold, there stood[H8802] H6440beforeH180the riverH259aH352ramH7161which had two hornsH7161: and the two hornsH1364were highH259; but oneH1364was higherH8145than the otherH1364, and the higherH5927came up[H8802] H314last.

⁴ H7200I saw[H8804] H352the ramH5055pushing[H8764] H3220westwardH6828, and northwardH5045, and southwardH2416; so that no beastsH5975might stand[H8799] H6440beforeH5337him, neither was there any that could deliver[H8688] H3027out of his handH6213; but he did[H8804] H7522according to his willH1431, and became great[H8689] .

⁵ H995And as I was considering[H8688] H5795, behold, an heH6842goatH935came[H8802] H4628from the westH6440on the faceH776of the whole earthH5060, and touched[H8802] H776not the groundH6842: and the goatH2380had a notableH7161hornH5869between his eyes.

⁶ H935And he came[H8799] H352to the ramH1167that hadH7161two hornsH7200, which I had seen[H8804] H5975standing[H8802] H6440beforeH180the riverH7323, and ran[H8799] H2534unto him in the furyH3581of his power.

¹¹ H1431Yea, he magnified[H8689] H8269himself even to the princeH6635of the hostH8548, and by him the dailyH7311sacrifice was taken away[H8717] [H8675] H7311 [H8689] H4349, and the placeH4720of his sanctuaryH7993was cast down[H8717] .

¹⁵ H1840And it came to pass, when I, even I DanielH7200, had seen[H8800] H2377the visionH1245, and sought[H8762] H998for the meaningH5975, then, behold, there stood[H8802] H4758before me as the appearanceH1397of a man.

¹⁶ H8085And I heard[H8799] H120a man'sH6963voiceH195between the banks of UlaiH7121, which called[H8799] H559, and said[H8799] H1403, GabrielH1975, make thisH995man to understand[H8685] H4758the vision.

²¹ H8163And the roughH6842goatH4428is the kingH3120of GreciaH1419: and the greatH7161hornH5869that is between his eyesH7223is the firstH4428king.

²² H7665Now that being broken[H8737] H702, whereas fourH5975stood up[H8799] H702for it, fourH4438kingdomsH5975shall stand up[H8799] H1471out of the nationH3581, but not in his power.

²³ H319And in the latter timeH4438of their kingdomH6586, when the transgressors[H8802] H8552are come to the full[H8687] H4428, a kingH5794of fierceH6440countenanceH995, and understanding[H8688] H2420dark sentencesH5975, shall stand up[H8799] .

²⁵ H7922And through his policyH4820also he shall cause craftH6743to prosper[H8689] H3027in his handH1431; and he shall magnify[H8686] H3824himself in his heartH7962, and by peaceH7843shall destroy[H8686] H7227manyH5975: he shall also stand up[H8799] H8269against the PrinceH8269of princesH7665; but he shall be broken[H8735] H657withoutH3027hand.

²⁶ H4758And the visionH6153of the eveningH1242and the morningH559which was told[H8738] H571is trueH5640: wherefore shut thou up[H8798] H2377the visionH7227; for it shall be for manyH3117days.

²⁷ H1840And I DanielH1961fainted[H8738] H2470, and was sick[H8738] H3117certain daysH6965; afterward I rose up[H8799] H6213, and did[H8799] H4428the king'sH4399businessH8074; and I was astonished[H8709] H4758at the visionH995, but none understood[H8688]  it .
