² H3068That the LORDH7200appeared[H8735] H8010to SolomonH8145the second timeH7200, as he had appeared[H8738] H1391unto him at Gibeon.

³ H3068And the LORDH559said[H8799] H8085unto him, I have heard[H8804] H8605thy prayerH8467and thy supplicationH2603, that thou hast made[H8694] H6440beforeH6942me: I have hallowed[H8689] H1004this houseH1129, which thou hast built[H8804] H7760, to put[H8800] H8034my nameH5704there forH5769everH5869; and mine eyesH3820and mine heartH3117shall be there perpetually.

⁴ H3212And if thou wilt walk[H8799] H6440beforeH1732me, as DavidH1thy fatherH1980walked[H8804] H8537, in integrityH3824of heartH3476, and in uprightnessH6213, to do[H8800] H6680according to all that I have commanded[H8765] H8104thee, and wilt keep[H8799] H2706my statutesH4941and my judgments:

⁵ H6965Then I will establish[H8689] H3678the throneH4467of thy kingdomH3478upon IsraelH5769for everH1696, as I promised[H8765] H1732to DavidH1thy fatherH559, saying[H8800] H3772, There shall not fail[H8735] H376thee a manH3678upon the throneH3478of Israel.

⁶ H7725But if ye shall at all[H8800] H7725turn[H8799] H310from followingH1121me, ye or your childrenH8104, and will not keep[H8799] H4687my commandmentsH2708and my statutesH5414which I have set[H8804] H6440beforeH1980you, but go[H8804] H5647and serve[H8804] H312otherH430godsH7812, and worship[H8694]  them:

⁷ H3772Then will I cut off[H8689] H3478IsraelH6440outH127of the landH5414which I have given[H8804] H1004them; and this houseH6942, which I have hallowed[H8689] H8034for my nameH7971, will I cast out[H8762] H6440of my sightH3478; and IsraelH4912shall be a proverbH8148and a bywordH5971among all people:

⁸ H1004And at this houseH5945, which is highH5674, every one that passeth[H8802] H8074by it shall be astonished[H8799] H8319, and shall hiss[H8804] H559; and they shall say[H8804] H3068, Why hath the LORDH6213done[H8804] H776thus unto this landH1004, and to this house?

⁹ H559And they shall answer[H8804] H5800, Because they forsook[H8804] H3068the LORDH430their GodH3318, who brought forth[H8689] H1their fathersH776out of the landH4714of EgyptH2388, and have taken hold[H8686] H312upon otherH430godsH7812, and have worshipped[H8691] H5647them, and served[H8799] H3068them: therefore hath the LORDH935brought[H8689] H7451upon them all this evil.

¹⁰ H7097And it came to pass at the endH6242of twentyH8141yearsH8010, when SolomonH1129had built[H8804] H8147the twoH1004housesH1004, the houseH3068of the LORDH4428, and the king'sH1004house,

¹¹ H2438( Now HiramH4428the kingH6865of TyreH5375had furnished[H8765] H8010SolomonH730with cedarH6086treesH1265and firH6086treesH2091, and with goldH2656, according to all his desireH227,) that thenH4428kingH8010SolomonH5414gave[H8799] H2438HiramH6242twentyH5892citiesH776in the landH1551of Galilee.

¹² H2438And HiramH3318came out[H8799] H6865from TyreH7200to see[H8800] H5892the citiesH8010which SolomonH5414had given[H8804] H3474him; and they pleased[H8804] H5869  him not.

¹³ H559And he said[H8799] H5892, What citiesH5414are these which thou hast given[H8804] H251me, my brotherH7121? And he called[H8799] H776them the landH3521of CabulH3117unto this day.

¹⁴ H2438And HiramH7971sent[H8799] H4428to the kingH3967sixscoreH6242 H3603talentsH2091of gold.

¹⁵ H1697And this is the reasonH4522of the levyH4428which kingH8010SolomonH5927raised[H8689] H1129; for to build[H8800] H1004the houseH3068of the LORDH1004, and his own houseH4407, and MilloH2346, and the wallH3389of JerusalemH2674, and HazorH4023, and MegiddoH1507, and Gezer.

¹⁶ H6547For PharaohH4428kingH4714of EgyptH5927had gone up[H8804] H3920, and taken[H8799] H1507GezerH8313, and burnt[H8799] H784it with fireH2026, and slain[H8804] H3669the CanaanitesH3427that dwelt[H8802] H5892in the cityH5414, and given[H8799] H7964it for a presentH1323unto his daughterH8010, Solomon'sH802wife.

¹⁷ H8010And SolomonH1129built[H8799] H1507GezerH1032, and BethhoronH8481the nether,

¹⁸ H1191And BaalathH8412, and TadmorH4057in the wildernessH776, in the land,

¹⁹ H5892And all the citiesH4543of storeH8010that SolomonH5892had, and citiesH7393for his chariotsH5892, and citiesH6571for his horsemenH2837, and thatH8010which SolomonH2836desired[H8804] H1129to build[H8800] H3389in JerusalemH3844, and in LebanonH776, and in all the landH4475of his dominion.

²⁰ H5971And all the peopleH3498that were left[H8737] H567of the AmoritesH2850, HittitesH6522, PerizzitesH2340, HivitesH2983, and JebusitesH1121, which were not of the childrenH3478of Israel,

²¹ H1121Their childrenH3498that were left[H8738] H310afterH776them in the landH1121, whom the childrenH3478of IsraelH3201also were not able[H8804] H2763utterly to destroy[H8687] H8010, upon those did SolomonH5927levy[H8686] H4522a tributeH5647of bondservice[H8802] H3117unto this day.

²² H1121But of the childrenH3478of IsraelH8010did SolomonH5414make[H8804] H5650no bondmenH582: but they were menH4421of warH5650, and his servantsH8269, and his princesH7991, and his captainsH8269, and rulersH7393of his chariotsH6571, and his horsemen.

²³ H8269These were the chiefH5324of the officers[H8737] H8010that were over Solomon'sH4399workH2568, fiveH3967hundredH2572and fiftyH7287, which bare rule[H8802] H5971over the peopleH6213that wrought[H8804] H4399in the work.

²⁴ H6547But Pharaoh'sH1323daughterH5927came up[H8804] H5892out of the cityH1732of DavidH1004unto her houseH1129which Solomon had built[H8804] H1129for her: then did he build[H8804] H4407Millo.

²⁵ H7969And threeH6471timesH8141in a yearH8010did SolomonH5927offer[H8689] H5930burnt offeringsH8002and peace offeringsH4196upon the altarH1129which he built[H8804] H3068unto the LORDH6999, and he burnt incense[H8687] H4196upon the altarH6440that was beforeH3068the LORDH7999. So he finished[H8765] H1004the house.

²⁶ H4428And kingH8010SolomonH6213made[H8804] H590a navy of shipsH6100in EziongeberH359, which is beside ElothH8193, on the shoreH5488of the RedH3220seaH776, in the landH123of Edom.

²⁷ H2438And HiramH7971sent[H8799] H590in the navyH5650his servantsH582, shipmenH591 H3045that had knowledge[H8802] H3220of the seaH5650, with the servantsH8010of Solomon.

²⁸ H935And they came[H8799] H211to OphirH3947, and fetched[H8799] H2091from thence goldH702, fourH3967hundredH6242and twentyH3603talentsH935, and brought[H8686] H4428it to kingH8010Solomon.
