⁴ H4428And the kingH3212went[H8799] H1391to GibeonH2076to sacrifice[H8800] H1931there; for thatH1419was the greatH1116high placeH505: a thousandH5930burnt offeringsH8010did SolomonH5927offer[H8686] H4196upon that altar.

⁵ H1391In GibeonH3068the LORDH7200appeared[H8738] H8010to SolomonH2472in a dreamH3915by nightH430: and GodH559said[H8799] H7592, Ask[H8798] H5414what I shall give[H8799]  thee.

⁶ H8010And SolomonH559said[H8799] H6213, Thou hast shewed[H8804] H5650unto thy servantH1732DavidH1my fatherH1419greatH2617mercyH1980, according as he walked[H8804] H6440beforeH571thee in truthH6666, and in righteousnessH3483, and in uprightnessH3824of heartH8104with thee; and thou hast kept[H8799] H1419for him this greatH2617kindnessH5414, that thou hast given[H8799] H1121him a sonH3427to sit[H8802] H3678on his throneH3117, as it is this day.

⁷ H3068And now, O LORDH430my GodH5650, thou hast made thy servantH4427king[H8689] H1732instead of DavidH1my fatherH6996: and I am but a littleH5288childH3045: I know[H8799] H3318not how to go out[H8800] H935or come in[H8800] .

⁸ H5650And thy servantH8432is in the midstH5971of thy peopleH977which thou hast chosen[H8804] H7227, a greatH5971peopleH4487, that cannot be numbered[H8735] H5608nor counted[H8735] H7230for multitude.

¹² H6213Behold, I have done[H8804] H1697according to thy wordsH5414: lo, I have given[H8804] H2450thee a wiseH995and an understanding[H8737] H3820heartH6440; so that there was none like thee beforeH310thee, neither afterH6965thee shall any arise[H8799]  like unto thee.

¹⁶ H935Then came[H8799] H8147there twoH802womenH2181, that were harlots[H8802] H4428, unto the kingH5975, and stood[H8799] H6440before him.

¹⁷ H259And the oneH802womanH559said[H8799] H994, OH113my lordH802, I and this womanH3427dwell[H8802] H259in oneH1004houseH3205; and I was delivered of a child[H8799] H1004with her in the house.

²³ H559Then said[H8799] H4428the kingH2063, The oneH559saith[H8802] H1121, This is my sonH2416that livethH1121, and thy sonH4191is the dead[H8801] H2063: and the otherH559saith[H8802] H1121, Nay; but thy sonH4191is the dead[H8801] H1121, and my sonH2416is the living.

²⁴ H4428And the kingH559said[H8799] H3947, Bring[H8798] H2719me a swordH935. And they brought[H8686] H2719a swordH6440beforeH4428the king.

²⁵ H4428And the kingH559said[H8799] H1504, Divide[H8798] H2416the livingH3206childH8147in twoH5414, and give[H8798] H2677halfH259to the oneH2677, and halfH259to the other.

²⁶ H559Then spake[H8799] H802the womanH2416whose the livingH1121childH4428was unto the kingH7356, for her bowelsH3648yearned[H8738] H1121upon her sonH559, and she said[H8799] H994, OH113my lordH5414, give[H8798] H2416her the livingH3205child[H8803] H4191, and in no wise[H8687] H4191slay[H8686] H559it. But the other said[H8802] H1504, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide[H8798]  it .

²⁷ H4428Then the kingH6030answered[H8799] H559and said[H8799] H5414, Give[H8798] H2416her the livingH3205child[H8803] H4191, and in no wise[H8687] H4191slay[H8686] H517it: she is the mother thereof.

²⁸ H3478And all IsraelH8085heard[H8799] H4941of the judgmentH4428which the kingH8199had judged[H8804] H3372; and they feared[H8799] H6440the kingH7200: for they saw[H8804] H2451that the wisdomH430of GodH7130was in himH6213, to do[H8800] H4941judgment.
