Athaliah saw the king by the column where the king usually stood. She also saw the leaders and men playing the trumpets for the king. She saw that all the people were very happy. She heard the trumpets, and she tore her clothes {to show she was upset}. Then Athaliah shouted, “Treason! Treason!”


The king stood by the column and made an agreement with the Lord. He agreed to follow the Lord and to obey his commands, the Agreement, and his rules. He agreed to do this with all his heart and soul. He agreed to obey the Agreement written in this book. All the people stood to {show they supported} the {king’s} agreement.


I have put the Box of the Agreement {\cf2\super [95]} in the temple. The Box of the Agreement is where the Lord’s Agreement is kept. The Lord made this Agreement with the people of Israel.”


Solomon had made a bronze platform {\cf2\super [97]} 5 cubits {\cf2\super [98]} long, 5 cubits {\cf2\super [99]} wide and 3 cubits {\cf2\super [100]} and placed it in the middle of the outside yard. {\cf2\super [101]} Then he stood on the platform and kneeled in front of all the people of Israel who were gathered together. Solomon spread his hands out toward the sky.

Moses left Pharaoh and went outside the city. He lifted his arms in prayer to the Lord. And the thunder and hail stopped, and then even the rain stopped.


The people that respect the Lord also listen to his servant. That servant lives completely trusting in God without knowing what will happen. He truly trusts in the Lord’s name, and that servant depends on his God.


I want men everywhere to pray. These men who lift up their hands in prayer must be pleasing to God. They must not be men who become angry and have arguments.
