Joseph could no longer keep his composure in front of all his attendants, so he called out, ‘Send everyone away from me! ’ No one was with him when he revealed his identity to his brothers.
But as for you, be strong; don’t give up, for your work has a reward.’
Go, eat your bread with pleasure, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God has already accepted your works.
When he has swallowed up death once and for all, the Lord God will wipe away the tears from every face and remove his people’s disgrace from the whole earth, for the Lord has spoken.
For people will live on Zion in Jerusalem. You will never weep again; he will show favour to you at the sound of your outcry; as soon as he hears, he will answer you.
See, the Lord God comes with strength, and his power establishes his rule. His wages are with him, and his reward accompanies him.
