The wicked person earns an empty wage, but the one who sows righteousness, a true reward.


For then you will have a future, and your hope will not be dashed.


This is what the Lord says: Keep your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for the reward for your work will come – this is the  Lord’s declaration – and your children will return from the enemy’s land.


‘Jerusalem, Jerusalem,   who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks   under her wings, but you were not willing!


Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is great in heaven. For that is how they persecuted   the prophets who were before you.


‘Be careful not to practise your righteousness   in front of others to be seen by them. Otherwise, you have no reward with your Father in heaven.


But love your enemies, do what is good, and lend, expecting nothing in return. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High.   For he is gracious to the ungrateful and evil.


Let no one condemn  you  by delighting in ascetic practices  and the worship of angels, claiming access to a visionary realm. Such a person is inflated  by empty notions of his unspiritual  mind.


May the Lord grant that he obtain mercy  from him on that day. You know very well how much he ministered at Ephesus.


There is reserved for me the crown  of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge,  will give me on that day, and not only to me, but to all those who have loved his appearing.  ,


For he considered reproach for the sake of Christ to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since he was looking ahead to the reward.


Now without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.


For God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love  you demonstrated for his name by serving the saints #– #and by continuing to serve them.


But Ruth replied: Don’t plead with me to abandon you or to return and not follow you. For wherever you go, I will go, and wherever you live, I will live; your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.


Boaz answered her, ‘Everything you have done for your mother-in-law since your husband’s death has been fully reported to me: how you left your father and mother and your native land, and how you came to a people you didn’t previously know.


‘My lord,’ she said, ‘I have found favour with you, for you have comforted and encouraged your servant, although I am not like one of your female servants.’


He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. Indeed, your daughter-in-law, who loves you and is better to you than seven sons,  has given birth to him.’


When a man finds his enemy, does he let him go unharmed?  , May the Lord repay you with good for what you’ve done for me today.


‘Now I know for certain you will be king, and the kingdom of Israel will be established  in your hand.
