The LORDof hostswill defendthem. And they will devourand trampleon the slingstones;And they will drink[and] be boisterousas with wine;And they will be filledlike a [sacrificial] basin,[Drenched] like the cornersof the altar.
"The arrowcannotmake him flee;Slingstonesare turnedinto stubblefor him.
Then the Lordawokeas [if from] sleep,Like a warriorovercomeby wine.
"You shall makeits hornson its fourcorners;its hornsshall be of one piece with it, and you shall overlayit with bronze.
"Drawme afteryou [and] let us run[together]! The kinghas broughtme into his chambers.""We will rejoicein you and be glad;We will extolyour lovemorethanwine.Rightlydo they loveyou."

Then the priestis to takesomeof the bloodof the sinofferingwith his fingerand putit on the hornsof the altarof burntoffering;and [the rest of] its bloodhe shall pourout at the baseof the altarof burntoffering.
The priestshall also putsomeof the bloodon the hornsof the altarof fragrantincensewhichis beforethe LORDin the tentof meeting;and allthe bloodof the bullhe shall pourout at the baseof the altarof burntofferingwhichis at the doorwayof the tentof meeting.
The remnantof JacobWill be among the nations,AmongmanypeoplesLike a lionamong the beastsof the forest,Like a younglionamong flocksof sheep,Which,ifhe passesthrough,Tramplesdownand tears,And thereis noneto rescue.
"They will be as mightymen,Treadingdown[the enemy] in the mireof the streetsin battle;And they will fight,for the LORD[will be] with them; And the riderson horseswill be putto shame.
"Ephraimwill be like a mightyman,And their heartwill be gladas if[from] wine;Indeed, their childrenwill see[it] and be glad,Their heartwill rejoicein the LORD.
"In that dayI will makethe clansof Judahlike a firepotamong pieces of woodand a flamingtorchamong sheaves,so they will consumeon the righthandand on the leftallthe surroundingpeoples,while the inhabitantsof Jerusalemagaindwellon their own sitesin Jerusalem.
"In that daythe LORDwill defendthe inhabitantsof Jerusalem,and the one who is feebleamong them in that daywill be like David,and the houseof David[will be] like God,like the angelof the LORDbeforethem.
In that daythere will [be inscribed] on the bellsof the horses,"HOLYTO THE LORD."And the cookingpotsin the LORD'Shousewill be like the bowlsbeforethe altar.
Then the LORDwill goforthand fightagainst thosenations,as whenHe fightson a dayof battle.
"For behold,I will waveMy handoverthem so that they will be plunderfor their slaves.Then you will knowthat the LORDof hostshas sentMe.
For whatcomelinessand beauty[will be] theirs! Grainwill make the youngmenflourish,and newwinethe virgins.
For the wordof the crossis foolishnessto thosewho are perishing,but to us who are being savedit is the powerof God.
And do not get drunkwith wine,for that is dissipation,but be filledwith the Spirit,
Then Davidsaidto the Philistine,"You cometo me with a sword,a spear,and a javelin,but I cometo you in the nameof the LORDof hosts,the Godof the armiesof Israel,whomyou have taunted.
