"And the kingsof the earth,who committed [acts of] immoralityand lived sensuouslywith her, will weepand lamentoverher whenthey seethe smokeof her burning,
And a second timethey said,"Hallelujah!HER SMOKERISESUP FOREVERAND EVER."
"For allthe nationshave drunkof the wineof the passionof her immorality,and the kingsof the earthhave committed [acts of] immoralitywith her, and the merchantsof the earthhave become richby the wealthof her sensuality."
and were cryingout as they sawthe smokeof her burning,saying,What[city] is likethe greatcity?'
with whomthe kingsof the earthcommitted [acts of] immorality,and thosewho dwellon the earthwere made drunkwith the wineof her immorality."
"Rejoiceoverher, O heaven,and you saintsand apostlesand prophets,becauseGodhas pronouncedjudgmentfor you againsther."
"And the smokeof their tormentgoesup foreverand ever;they havenorestdayand night,thosewho worshipthe beastand his image,and whoeverreceivesthe markof his name."
"To the degreethat she glorifiedherselfand lived sensuously,to the same degreegiveher tormentand mourning;for she saysin her heart,I SIT[as] A QUEENAND I AMNOT A WIDOW,and will neverseemourning.'
At the shout,"Babylonhas been seized!"the earthis shaken,and an outcryis heardamong the nations.
and he lookeddowntowardSodomand Gomorrah,and towardallthe landof the valley,and he saw,and behold,the smokeof the landascendedlike the smokeof a furnace.
"As when GodoverthrewSodomAnd Gomorrahwith its neighbors,"declaresthe LORD,"Nomanwill livethere,Norwill [any] sonof manresidein it.
And Babylon,the beautyof kingdoms,the gloryof the Chaldeans'pride,Will be as when GodoverthrewSodomand Gomorrah.
Allits landis brimstoneand salt,a burningwaste, unsownand unproductive,and nograssgrowsin it, like the overthrowof Sodomand Gomorrah,Admahand Zeboiim,whichthe LORDoverthrewin His angerand in His wrath.'
He shoutedout and spokeas follows:"Chopdownthe treeand cutoffits branches,Stripoffits foliageand scatterits fruit;Let the beastsfleefrom underit And the birdsfrom its branches.
For Tophethhas longbeen ready,Indeed,it has been preparedfor the king.He has madeit deepand large,A pyreof firewith plentyof wood;The breathof the LORD,like a torrentof brimstone,setsit afire.
The righteouswill rejoicewhenhe seesthe vengeance;He will washhis feetin the bloodof the wicked.
SuddenlyBabylonhas fallenand been broken;Wailoverher! Bringbalmfor her pain;Perhapsshe may be healed.
Allthe inhabitantsof the coastlandsAre appalledat you, And their kingsare horriblyafraid;They are troubledin countenance.
But refuse[to put] youngerwidows[on the list], for whenthey feel sensual desires in disregardof Christ,they wantto get married,
Behold,I will throwher on a bed[of sickness], and thosewho commit adulterywith her into greattribulation,unlessthey repentof her deeds.
