And the beastwhichI sawwas likea leopard,and his feetwere like[those] of a bear,and his mouthlikethe mouthof a lion.And the dragongavehim his powerand his throneand greatauthority.
And he laid holdof the dragon,the serpentof old,whois the deviland Satan,and boundhim for a thousandyears;
"The tenhornswhichyou saware tenkingswhohave not yetreceiveda kingdom,but they receiveauthorityas kingswith the beastfor onehour.
And the greatdragonwas throwndown, the serpentof oldwho is calledthe deviland Satan,who deceivesthe wholeworld;he was throwndown to the earth,and his angelswere throwndown with him.
Be of sober[spirit], be on the alert.Your adversary,the devil,prowls aroundlikea roaringlion,seekingsomeoneto devour.
And the beastwas seized,and with him the false prophetwho performedthe signsin his presence,by whichhe deceivedthosewho had receivedthe markof the beastand thosewho worshipedhis image;thesetwowere thrownaliveinto the lakeof firewhich burnswith brimstone.
they worshipedthe dragonbecausehe gavehis authorityto the beast;and they worshipedthe beast,saying,"Whois likethe beast,and whois ableto wage warwith him?"
And the serpentpouredwaterlikea riverout of his mouthafterthe woman,sothat he might causeher to be swept away with the flood.
And whenthe dragonsawthat he was throwndown to the earth,he persecutedthe womanwhogave birthto the male[child].
Thenthe fifth[angel] pouredout his bowlon the throneof the beast,and his kingdombecamedarkened;and they gnawedtheir tonguesbecauseof pain,
As whena manfleesfrom a lionAnd a bearmeetshim, Or goeshome,leanshis handagainstthe wallAnd a snakebiteshim.
"Can the Ethiopianchangehis skinOr the leopardhis spots?[Then] you alsocandogoodWho are accustomedto doingevil.
Thereforea lionfrom the forestwill slaythem, A wolfof the desertswill destroythem, A leopardis watchingtheir cities.Everyonewho goesout of them will be tornin pieces,Becausetheir transgressionsare many,Their apostasiesare numerous.
Its roaringis like a lioness,and it roarslike younglions;It growlsas it seizesthe preyAnd carries[it] offwith nooneto deliver[it].
[Like] a roaringlionand a rushingbearIs a wickedrulerovera poorpeople.
Let a manmeeta bearrobbedof her cubs,Ratherthan a foolin his folly.
Saveme from the lion'smouth;From the hornsof the wildoxenYou answerme.
When he lookedbehindhim and sawthem, he cursedthem in the nameof the LORD.Then twofemale bearscameout of the woodsand toreup forty-twoladsof their number.
"Their horsesare swifterthanleopardsAnd keenerthanwolvesin the evening.Their horsemencomegalloping,Their horsemencomefrom afar;They flylike an eagleswooping[down] to devour.
Thussaysthe LORD,"Justas the shepherdsnatchesfrom the lion'smoutha coupleof legsora pieceof an ear,Sowill the sonsof Israeldwellingin Samariabe snatchedaway--With [the] cornerof a bedand [the] coverof a couch!
They will walkafterthe LORD,He will roarlike a lion;IndeedHe will roarAnd [His] sonswill cometremblingfrom the west.
But the Lordstoodwith me and strengthenedme, sothat throughme the proclamationmight be fully accomplished,and that allthe Gentilesmight hear;and I was rescuedout of the lion'smouth.
I knowwhereyou dwell,whereSatan'sthroneis; and you hold fastMy name,and did not denyMy faithevenin the daysof Antipas,My witness,My faithful one,whowas killedamongyou, whereSatandwells.
He exercisesallthe authorityof the firstbeastin his presence.And he makesthe earthand thosewho dwellin it to worshipthe firstbeast,whosefatalwoundwas healed.
