and he criedout with a loudvoice,as when a lionroars;and whenhe had criedout, the sevenpeals of thunderutteredtheir voices.
The voiceof the LORDis upon the waters;The Godof glorythunders,The LORDis overmanywaters.
The king'swrathis like the roaringof a lion,But his favoris like dewon the grass.
For thussaysthe LORDto me, "As the lionor the youngliongrowlsoverhis prey,Againstwhicha bandof shepherdsis calledout, [And] he will not be terrifiedat their voicenordisturbedat their noise,Sowill the LORDof hostscomedownto wagewaron MountZionand on its hill."
The LORDwill goforthlike a warrior,He will arouse[His] zeallike a manof war.He will uttera shout,yes,He will raisea warcry.He will prevailagainstHis enemies.
Its roaringis like a lioness,and it roarslike younglions;It growlsas it seizesthe preyAnd carries[it] offwith nooneto deliver[it].
"Therefore you shall prophesyagainstthem allthesewords,and you shall sayto them, 'The LORDwill roarfrom on highAnd utterHis voicefrom His holyhabitation;He will roarmightilyagainstHis fold.He will shoutlike those who tread[the grapes], Againstallthe inhabitantsof the earth.
Moreover, the soundof the wingsof the cherubimwas heardas faras the outercourt,like the voiceof GodAlmightywhen He speaks.
They will walkafterthe LORD,He will roarlike a lion;IndeedHe will roarAnd [His] sonswill cometremblingfrom the west.
The LORDroarsfrom ZionAnd uttersHis voicefrom Jerusalem,And the heavensand the earthtremble.But the LORDis a refugefor His peopleAnd a strongholdto the sonsof Israel.
He said,"The LORDroarsfrom ZionAnd from JerusalemHe uttersHis voice;And the shepherds'pasturegroundsmourn,And the summitof Carmeldriesup."
A lionhas roared!Whowill not fear?The LordGODhas spoken!Whocan but prophesy?
And I hearda voicefrom heaven,likethe soundof manywatersand likethe soundof loudthunder,and the voicewhichI heard[was] like[the sound] of harpistsplayingon their harps.
ThenI sawanothersignin heaven,greatand marvelous,sevenangelswho hadsevenplagues,[which are] the last,becausein them the wrathof Godis finished.
Thenoneof the fourliving creaturesgaveto the sevenangelssevengoldenbowlsfullof the wrathof God,who livesforeverand ever.
Out from the thronecomeflashes of lightningand soundsand peals of thunder.And [there were] sevenlampsof fireburningbeforethe throne,whichare the sevenSpiritsof God;
Thenthe angeltookthe censerand filledit with the fireof the altar,and threwit to the earth;and there followedpeals of thunderand soundsand flashes of lightningand an earthquake.
