O God,whyhave You rejected[us] forever?Why does Your angersmokeagainst the sheepof Your pasture?
"The LORDshall neverbe willingto forgivehim, but ratherthe angerof the LORDand His jealousywill burnagainst that man,and everycursewhich is writtenin thisbookwill reston him, and the LORDwill blotout his namefrom underheaven.
Knowthat the LORDHimselfis God;It is He who has madeus, and not we ourselves;[We are] His peopleand the sheepof His pasture.
So we Your peopleand the sheepof Your pastureWill givethanksto You forever;To allgenerationswe will tellof Your praise.
For He is our God,And we are the peopleof His pastureand the sheepof His hand.Today,ifyou would hearHis voice,
YetYou have rejected[us] and broughtus to dishonor,And do not goout with our armies.
"Do not be afraid,littleflock,for your Fatherhas chosen gladlyto giveyou the kingdom.
"As for you, My sheep,the sheepof My pasture,you are men,and I am your God,"declaresthe LordGOD.
Thussaysthe LORD,"Ifthe heavensabovecan be measuredAnd the foundationsof the earthsearchedout below,Then I will alsocastoffallthe offspringof IsraelFor allthat they have done,"declaresthe LORD.
"Woeto the shepherdswho are destroyingand scatteringthe sheepof My pasture!"declaresthe LORD.
Howlong,O LORD?Will You be angryforever?Will Your jealousyburnlikefire?
Will the Lordrejectforever?And will He neverbe favorableagain?
Whyare you in despair,O my soul?And whyhave you becomedisturbedwithinme? Hopein God,for I shall yetpraiseHim, The helpof my countenanceand my God.
"As I live,"declaresthe LordGOD,"surelybecauseMy flockhas becomea prey,My flockhas even becomefoodfor allthe beastsof the fieldfor lackof a shepherd,and My shepherdsdid not searchfor My flock,but [rather] the shepherdsfedthemselves and did not feedMy flock;
Listen,O my people,to my instruction;Inclineyour earsto the wordsof my mouth.
Have not You Yourself,O God,rejectedus? And will You not goforthwith our armies,O God?
O God,You have rejectedus. You have brokenus; You have beenangry;O, restoreus.
I will sayto Godmy rock,"Whyhave You forgottenme? Whydo I gomourningbecause of the oppressionof the enemy?"
Smokewentup out of His nostrils,And firefrom His mouthdevoured;Coalswere kindledby it.
Why do You standafaroff, O LORD?Why do You hide[Yourself] in timesof trouble?
Then Mosesentreatedthe LORDhis God,and said,"O LORD,whydoes Your angerburnagainst Your peoplewhomYou have broughtout from the landof Egyptwith greatpowerand with a mightyhand?
I will abandonthe remnantof My inheritanceand deliverthem into the handof their enemies,and they will becomeas plunderand spoilto alltheir enemies;
The MightyOne,God,the LORD,has spoken,And summonedthe earthfrom the risingof the sunto its setting.
Has His lovingkindnessceasedforever?Has [His] promisecometo an endforever?
You have fedthem with the breadof tears,And You have madethem to drinktearsin largemeasure.
Will You not Yourselfreviveus again,That Your peoplemay rejoicein You?
But now,O LORD,You are our Father,We are the clay,and You our potter;And allof us are the workof Your hand.
UnlessYou have utterlyrejectedus [And] are exceedinglyangrywith us.
