Oh,the depthof the richesbothof the wisdomand knowledgeof God!Howunsearchableare His judgmentsand unfathomableHis ways!
Your waywas in the seaAnd Your pathsin the mightywaters,And Your footprintsmay not be known.
For Your righteousness,O God,[reaches] to the heavens,You whohave donegreatthings;O God,whois likeYou?
"I have not spokenin secret,In somedarkland;I did not sayto the offspringof Jacob,SeekMe in a wasteplace;I, the LORD,speakrighteousness,Declaringthingsthat are upright.
The LORDis goodto all,And His merciesare overallHis works.
Cloudsand thickdarknesssurroundHim; Righteousnessand justiceare the foundationof His throne.
Howgreatare Your works,O LORD!Your thoughtsare verydeep.
whomGoddisplayed publiclyas a propitiationin His bloodthroughfaith.[This was] to demonstrateHis righteousness,becausein the forbearanceof GodHe passed overthe sinspreviously committed;
"Should I not havecompassionon Nineveh,the greatcityin whichthereare morethan120000personswhodo not know[the difference] betweentheir rightand lefthand,as well as manyanimals?"
Do you not know?Have you not heard?The EverlastingGod,the LORD,the Creatorof the endsof the earthDoes not becomewearyor tired.His understandingis inscrutable.
He givesto the beastits food,[And] to the youngravenswhichcry.
"The Almighty--we cannotfindHim; He is exaltedin powerAnd He will not doviolenceto justiceand abundantrighteousness.
"Have I sinned?Whathave I doneto You, O watcherof men?Whyhave You setme as Your target,So that I ama burdento myself?
"You aloneare the LORD.You have madethe heavens,The heavenof heavenswith alltheir host,The earthand allthat is on it, The seasand allthat is in them. You givelifeto allof them And the heavenlyhostbowsdownbefore You.
And there was a tremblingin the camp,in the field,and among allthe people.Eventhe garrisonand the raiderstrembled,and the earthquakedso that it becamea greattrembling.
"The Rock!His workis perfect,For allHis waysare just;A Godof faithfulnessand withoutinjustice,Righteousand uprightis He.
"Makesupplicationto the LORD,for there has been enoughof God'sthunderand hail;and I will letyou go,and you shall staynolonger."
"Farbe it from You to dosucha thing,to slaythe righteouswith the wicked,so that the righteousand the wickedare [treated] alike. Farbe it from You! Shall not the Judgeof allthe earthdealjustly?"
Righteousare You, O LORD,that I would plead[my] casewith You; IndeedI would discussmattersof justicewith You: Whyhas the wayof the wickedprospered?[Why] are allthose who dealin treacheryat ease?
"Knowtherefore that the LORDyour God,He is God,the faithfulGod,who keepsHis covenantand His lovingkindnessto a thousandthgenerationwith those who loveHim and keepHis commandments;
You hidethem in the secretplaceof Your presencefrom the conspiraciesof man;You keepthem secretlyin a shelterfrom the strifeof tongues.
[They] are newevery morning;Greatis Your faithfulness.
