[I would have despaired] unlessI had believedthat I would seethe goodnessof the LORDIn the landof the living.
"Mandoes not knowits value,Noris it foundin the landof the living.
To bringbackhis soulfrom the pit,That he may be enlightenedwith the lightof life.
I criedout to You, O LORD;I said,"You are my refuge,My portionin the landof the living.
"Giveheedto my cry,For I am broughtverylow;Deliverme from my persecutors,For they are toostrongfor me.
Howgreatis Your goodness,WhichYou have storedup for those who fearYou, Which You have wroughtfor those who takerefugein You, Beforethe sonsof men!
Whyare you in despair,O my soul?And [why] have you becomedisturbedwithinme? Hopein God,for I shall againpraiseHim [For] the helpof His presence.
But Godwill breakyou downforever;He will snatchyou up and tearyou awayfrom [your] tent,And uprootyou from the landof the living.Selah.
For You have deliveredmy soulfrom death,Indeedmy feetfrom stumbling,So that I may walkbeforeGodIn the lightof the living.
WhenI am afraid,I will putmy trustin You.
I said,"I will not seethe LORD,The LORDin the landof the living;I will lookon mannomoreamongthe inhabitantsof the world.
"It is the livingwho givethanksto You, as I do today;A fathertellshis sonsaboutYour faithfulness.
But I was like a gentlelambledto the slaughter;And I did not knowthat they had devisedplotsagainstme, [saying], "Let us destroythe treewith its fruit,And let us cuthim offfrom the landof the living,That his namebe rememberednomore."
then I will bringyou downwith those who godownto the pit,to the peopleof old,and I will make you dwellin the lowerpartsof the earth,like the ancientwasteplaces,with those who godownto the pit,sothat you will not be inhabited;but I will setgloryin the landof the living.
Therefore,since we havethisministry,as we received mercy,we do not lose heart,
Thereforewe do not lose heart,but thoughour outermanis decaying,yetour inner manis being reneweddayby day.
For by graceyou have been savedthroughfaith;and that not of yourselves,[it is] the giftof God;
