"Let my soulnot enterinto their council;Let not my glorybe unitedwith their assembly;Becausein their angerthey slewmen,And in their self-willthey lamedoxen.
Enochwalkedwith God;and he was not, for Godtookhim.
It cameabout, as though it had been a trivialthingfor him to walkin the sinsof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,that he marriedJezebelthe daughterof Ethbaalkingof the Sidonians,and wentto serveBaaland worshipedhim.
He alsowalkedin the waysof the houseof Ahab,for his motherwas his counselorto dowickedly.
Is it rightfor You indeedto oppress,To rejectthe laborof Your hands,And to lookfavorablyon the schemesof the wicked?
"Behold,their prosperityis not in their hand;The counselof the wickedis farfrom me.
"IfI have walkedwith falsehood,And my foothas hastenedafterdeceit,
For the LORDknowsthe wayof the righteous,But the wayof the wickedwill perish.
How blessedare those who keepjustice,Who practicerighteousnessat alltimes!
Praisethe LORD!How blessedis the manwho fearsthe LORD,Who greatlydelightsin His commandments.
Departfrom me, evildoers,That I may observethe commandmentsof my God.
How blessedare the peoplewhoare sosituated; How blessedare the peoplewhoseGodis the LORD!
How blessedis he whosehelpis the Godof Jacob,Whose hopeis in the LORDhis God,
The LORDprotectsthe strangers;He supportsthe fatherlessand the widow,But He thwartsthe wayof the wicked.
Dohomageto the Son,that He not becomeangry,and you perish[in] the way,For His wrathmay soonbe kindled.How blessedare allwho takerefugein Him!
My footstandson a levelplace;In the congregationsI shall blessthe LORD.
O tasteand seethat the LORDis good;How blessedis the manwho takesrefugein Him!
He planswickednessupon his bed;He setshimself on a paththat is not good;He does not despiseevil.
Hideme from the secretcounselof evildoers,From the tumultof those who doiniquity,
"So I gavethem overto the stubbornnessof their heart,To walkin their own devices.
O LORDof hosts,How blessedis the manwho trustsin You!
My son,do not walkin the waywith them. Keepyour feetfrom their path,
"Howlong,O naiveones,will you lovebeing simple-minded?And scoffersdelightthemselves in scoffingAnd foolshateknowledge?
Goodunderstandingproducesfavor,But the wayof the treacherousis hard.
He who walkswith wisemenwill be wise,But the companionof foolswill sufferharm.
Judgmentsare preparedfor scoffers,And blowsfor the backof fools.
To deliveryou from the wayof evil,From the manwho speaksperversethings;
ThoughHe scoffsat the scoffers,Yet He givesgraceto the afflicted.
The wayof the wickedis like darkness;They do not knowover whatthey stumble.
Ifyou are wise,you are wisefor yourself, And if you scoff,you alonewill bearit.
I did not sitin the circleof merrymakers,Nordid I exult.Becauseof Your hand[upon me] I satalone,For You filledme with indignation.
"Blessedis the manwhotrustsin the LORDAnd whose trustis the LORD.
"I saidto their childrenin the wilderness,Do not walkin the statutesof your fathersor keeptheir ordinancesor defileyourselves with their idols.
And Jesussaidto him, "Blessedare you, SimonBarjona,becausefleshand blooddid not reveal[this] to you, but My Fatherwhois in heaven.
But He said,"On the contrary,blessedare thosewho hearthe wordof Godand observeit."

"Blessedare you, O Israel;Whois likeyou, a peoplesavedby the LORD,Who is the shieldof your helpAnd the swordof your majesty!So your enemieswill cringebefore you, And you will treadupon their highplaces."
For the timealready pastis sufficient[for] [you] to have carriedout the desireof the Gentiles,having pursued a courseof sensuality,lusts,drunkenness,carousing,drinking partiesand abominableidolatries.
Blessedare thosewho washtheir robes,sothat they may have the rightto the treeof life,and may enterby the gatesinto the city.
