Anyonewho touchesa corpse,the bodyof a manwhohas died,and does not purifyhimself, defilesthe tabernacleof the LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom Israel.Becausethe waterfor impuritywas not sprinkledon him, he shall be unclean;his uncleannessis stillon him.
Whoevershall mix[any] likeit or whoeverputsanyof it on a laymanshall be cutofffrom his people.'"
The wickedis thrustdownby his wrongdoing,But the righteoushasa refugewhen he dies.
"Afterhe is cleansed,sevendaysshall elapsefor him.
"Thus you shall keepthe sonsof Israelseparatedfrom their uncleanness,sothat they will not diein their uncleannessby their defilingMy tabernaclethat is amongthem."
I will also setMy faceagainst that manand will cuthim offfrom amonghis people,becausehe has givensomeof his offspringto Molech,soas to defileMy sanctuaryand to profaneMy holyname.
"Sayto them, 'If anymanamongallyour descendantsthroughout your generationsapproachesthe holy[gifts] whichthe sonsof Israeldedicateto the LORD,while he has an uncleanness,that personshall be cutofffrom beforeMe; I am the LORD.
Nomanof the descendantsof Aaron,whois a leperorwho has a discharge,may eatof the holy[gifts] untilhe is clean.And if one touchesanythingmade uncleanby a corpseorif a manhasa seminalemission,
"Now ifa personsinsand doesanyof the things whichthe LORDhas commandednot to be done,though he was unaware,still he is guiltyand shall bearhis punishment.
Orifhe toucheshumanuncleanness,of whatever[sort] his uncleanness[may] be with whichhe becomesunclean,and it is hiddenfrom him, and then he comes to know[it], he will be guilty.
He shall also bringhis guiltofferingto the LORDfor his sinwhichhe has committed,a femalefrom the flock,a lambora goatas a sinoffering.So the priestshall makeatonementon his behalffor his sin.
But the personwhoeatsthe fleshof the sacrificeof peaceofferingswhichbelong to the LORD,in his uncleanness,that personshall be cutofffrom his people.
Whenanyonetouchesanythingunclean,whether humanuncleanness,oran uncleananimal,oranyuncleandetestablething,and eatsof the fleshof the sacrificeof peaceofferingswhichbelong to the LORD,that personshall be cutofffrom his people.'"
But the personwhodoes[anything] defiantly,whetherhe is nativeor an alien,that oneis blasphemingthe LORD;and that personshall be cutofffrom amonghis people.
Thisis the lawwhena mandiesin a tent:everyonewho comesinto the tentand everyonewhois in the tentshall be uncleanfor sevendays.
A cleanpersonshall takehyssopand dip[it] in the water,and sprinkle[it] on the tentand on allthe furnishingsand on the personswhowere there,and on the one who touchedthe boneorthe oneslainorthe one dying[naturally] orthe grave.
Then the clean[person] shall sprinkleon the uncleanon the thirddayand on the seventhday;and on the seventhdayhe shall purifyhim from uncleanness,and he shall washhis clothesand bathe[himself] in waterand shall be cleanby evening.
But the manwhois uncleanand does not purifyhimself from uncleanness,that personshall be cutofffrom the midstof the assembly,becausehe has defiledthe sanctuaryof the LORD;the waterfor impurityhas not been sprinkledon him, he is unclean.
Now a manwho is cleanshall gatherup the ashesof the heiferand depositthem outsidethe campin a cleanplace,and the congregationof the sonsof Israelshall keepit as waterto remove impurity;it is purificationfrom sin.
"Thusyou shall doto them, for their cleansing:[sprinkle] purifyingwateron them, and let them usea razorovertheir wholebodyand washtheir clothes,and they will be clean.
But the manwhois cleanand is not on a journey,and yet neglectsto observethe Passover,that personshall then be cutofffrom his people,for he did not presentthe offeringof the LORDat its appointedtime.That manwill bearhis sin.
"ThereforeI saidto you that you will diein your sins;for unlessyou believethat I am[He], you will diein your sins."
How muchsevererpunishmentdo you thinkhe will deservewho has trampled under footthe Sonof God,and has regardedas uncleanthe bloodof the covenantby whichhe was sanctified,and has insultedthe Spiritof grace?
since they [relate] onlyto foodand drinkand variouswashings,regulationsfor the bodyimposeduntila timeof reformation.
"But for the cowardlyand unbelievingand abominableand murderersand immoral personsand sorcerersand idolatersand allliars,their part[will be] in the lakethat burnswith fireand brimstone,whichis the seconddeath."
"Let the one who doeswrong,stilldo wrong;and the one who is filthy,stillbe filthy;and let the one whois righteous,stillpracticerighteousness;and the one who is holy,stillkeep himself holy."
Outsideare the dogsand the sorcerersand the immoral personsand the murderersand the idolaters,and everyonewho lovesand practiceslying.
