I saidto the king,"Let the kingliveforever.Whyshould my facenot be sadwhenthe city,the placeof my fathers'tombs,lies desolateand its gateshave been consumedby fire?"
Then Bathshebabowedwith her faceto the ground,and prostratedherself before the kingand said,"May my lordKingDavidliveforever."
Now on the seventhday of the fifthmonth,whichwas the nineteenthyearof KingNebuchadnezzar,kingof Babylon,Nebuzaradanthe captainof the guard,a servantof the kingof Babylon,cameto Jerusalem.
He was thirty-twoyears oldwhen he becameking,and he reignedin Jerusalemeightyears;and he departedwith noone's regret,and they buriedhim in the cityof David,but not in the tombsof the kings.
So Ahazsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim in the city,in Jerusalem,for they did not bringhim into the tombsof the kingsof Israel;and Hezekiahhis sonreignedin his place.
So Hezekiahsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim in the uppersectionof the tombsof the sonsof David;and allJudahand the inhabitantsof Jerusalemhonoredhim at his death.And his sonManassehbecamekingin his place.
Then they burnedthe houseof Godand brokedownthe wallof Jerusalem,and burnedallits fortifiedbuildingswith fireand destroyedallits valuablearticles.
They saidto me, "The remnanttherein the provincewhosurvivedthe captivityare in greatdistressand reproach,and the wallof Jerusalemis brokendownand its gatesare burnedwith fire."
So I wentout at nightby the ValleyGatein the directionof the Dragon'sWelland [on] to the RefuseGate,inspectingthe wallsof Jerusalemwhichwere brokendownand its gateswhich were consumedby fire.
"For howcanI endureto seethe calamitywhichwill befallmy people,and howcanI endureto seethe destructionof my kindred?"
SurelyYour servantsfindpleasurein her stonesAnd feelpityfor her dust.
So the nationswill fearthe nameof the LORDAnd allthe kingsof the earthYour glory.
May my tongueclingto the roofof my mouthIfI do not rememberyou, IfI do not exaltJerusalemAbovemy chiefjoy.
For my loinsare filledwith burning,And thereis nosoundnessin my flesh.

Her gateshave sunkinto the ground,He has destroyedand brokenher bars.Her kingand her princesare among the nations;The lawis nomore.Also,her prophetsfindNovisionfrom the LORD.
Then the Chaldeansspoketo the kingin Aramaic:"O king,liveforever!Tellthe dreamto your servants,and we will declarethe interpretation."
They respondedand saidto Nebuchadnezzarthe king:"O king,liveforever!
The queenenteredthe banquethallbecauseof the wordsof the kingand his nobles;the queenspokeand said,"O king,liveforever!Do not let your thoughtsalarmyou or your facebe pale.
ThenDanielspoketo the king,"O king,liveforever!
Thenthesecommissionersand satrapscameby agreementto the kingand spoketo him as follows:"KingDarius,liveforever!
I will laywasteyour citiesas well and will makeyour sanctuariesdesolate,and I will not smellyour soothingaromas.
