He said,"No;ratherI indeedcomenow[as] captainof the hostof the LORD."And Joshuafellon his faceto the earth,and boweddown,and saidto him, "Whathas my lordto sayto his servant?"
Then Abrahamfellon his faceand laughed,and saidin his heart,"Will a child be bornto a manone hundredyearsold?And will Sarah,who is ninetyyearsold,bear[a child]?"
Abramfellon his face,and Godtalkedwith him, saying,
"And yetthiswas insignificantin Your eyes,O LordGOD,for You have spokenalsoof the houseof Your servantconcerning the distantfuture.And thisis the customof man,O LordGOD.
"Againwhatmorecan Davidsayto You? For You knowYour servant,O LordGOD!
The LORDsaysto my Lord:"Sitat My righthandUntilI makeYour enemiesa footstoolfor Your feet."
Whois thisKingof glory?The LORDof hosts,He is the Kingof glory.Selah.
Then Mosessaidto the LORD,"Please,Lord,I have neverbeen eloquent,neitherrecentlynorin timepast,norsinceYou have spokento Your servant;for I am slowof speechand slowof tongue."
But he said,"Please,Lord,nowsend[the message] by whomever You will."
"Behold,I have madehim a witnessto the peoples,A leaderand commanderfor the peoples.
Then I heardthe voiceof the Lord,saying,"Whomshall I send,and whowill gofor Us?" Then I said,"Heream I. Sendme!"
So I gotup and wentout to the plain;and behold,the gloryof the LORDwas standingthere,like the glorywhichI sawby the riverChebar,and I fellon my face.
"But the princeof the kingdomof Persiawas withstandingme for twenty-onedays;then behold,Michael,oneof the chiefprinces,cameto helpme, for I had been lefttherewith the kingsof Persia.
"However,I will tellyou what is inscribedin the writingof truth.Yet thereis noonewho standsfirmlywith me againstthese[forces] exceptMichaelyour prince.
"Now at that timeMichael,the greatprincewho stands[guard] overthe sonsof your people,will arise.And there will be a timeof distresssuchas neveroccurredsincethere was a nationuntilthat time;and at that timeyour people,everyonewho is foundwrittenin the book,will be rescued.
It evenmagnified[itself] to be equalwith the Commanderof the host;and it removedthe regularsacrificefrom Him, and the placeof His sanctuarywas throwndown.
Then firecameout from beforethe LORDand consumedthe burntofferingand the portionsof faton the altar;and when allthe peoplesaw[it], they shoutedand fellon their faces.
But they fellon their facesand said,"O God,Godof the spiritsof allflesh,when onemansins,will You be angrywith the entirecongregation?"
"Getawayfrom amongthiscongregation,that I may consumethem instantly."Then they fellon their faces.
Then the LORDopenedthe eyesof Balaam,and he sawthe angelof the LORDstandingin the waywith his drawnswordin his hand;and he bowedall the wayto the ground.
THE LORDSAIDTO MY LORD,"SITAT MY RIGHT HAND,UNTILI PUTYOUR ENEMIESBENEATHYOUR FEET"'?
And a lepercameto Him and bowed downbefore Him, and said,"Lord,ifYou are willing,You canmake me clean."
"And howhas it [happened] to me, that the motherof my Lordwould cometo me?
"For Davidhimselfsaysin the bookof Psalms,THE LORDSAIDTO MY LORD,"SITAT MY RIGHT HAND,
WhileHe was in oneof the cities,behold,[there was] a mancoveredwith leprosy;and when he sawJesus,he fellon his faceand imploredHim, saying,"Lord,ifYou are willing,You canmake me clean."
Thomasansweredand saidto Him, "My Lordand my God!"
but getup and enterthe city,and it will be toldyou whatyou mustdo."
More thanthat, I countallthingsto be lossin viewof the surpassing valueof knowingChristJesusmy Lord,for whomI have suffered the lossof all things,and countthem but rubbishsothat I may gainChrist,
For it was fittingfor Him, for whomare allthings,and throughwhomare all things,in bringingmanysonsto glory,to perfectthe authorof their salvationthroughsufferings.
Then the LORDspoketo Joshua,saying,
And there was warin heaven,Michaeland his angelswagingwarwith the dragon.The dragonand his angelswagedwar,
