Then the LORDsaidto me, "Even thoughMosesand Samuelwere to standbeforeMe, My heartwould not be with thispeople;sendthem awayfrom My presenceand let them go!
"Is Israela slave?Oris he a homebornservant? Whyhas he becomea prey?
"Behold,he goesup like clouds,And his chariotslike the whirlwind;His horsesare swifterthaneagles.Woeto us, for we are ruined!"
Disasteron disasteris proclaimed,For the wholelandis devastated;Suddenlymy tentsare devastated,My curtainsin an instant.
"I will castyou out of My sight,as I have castout allyour brothers,allthe offspringof Ephraim.
"Do they spiteMe?" declaresthe LORD."Is it not themselves [they spite], to their ownshame?"
Cutoffyour hairand cast[it] away,And takeup a lamentationon the bareheights;For the LORDhas rejectedand forsakenThe generationof His wrath.'
"Depart!Unclean!"they criedof themselves. "Depart,depart,do not touch!"Sothey fledand wandered;[Men] among the nationssaid,"They shall not continueto dwell[with us]."
Our inheritancehas been turnedover to strangers,Our housesto aliens.
"And you, sonof man,takeup a lamentationoverTyre;
For the landhas becomedefiled,therefore I have broughtits punishmentupon it, so the landhas spewedout its inhabitants.
so that the landwill not spewyou out, should you defileit, as it has spewedout the nationwhichhas been beforeyou.
You are therefore to keepallMy statutesand allMy ordinancesand dothem, so that the landto whichI am bringingyou to livewill not spewyou out.
"Ariseand go,For thisis noplaceof restBecauseof the uncleannessthat bringson destruction,A painfuldestruction.
"On that daythey will takeup againstyou a tauntAnd uttera bitterlamentation[and] say,'We are completelydestroyed!He exchangesthe portionof my people;HowHe removesit from me! To the apostateHe apportionsour fields.'
and you will gropeat noon,as the blindmangropesin darkness,and you will not prosperin your ways;but you shall onlybe oppressedand robbedcontinually,with noneto saveyou.
